Just got my Python and it is great but

But it has a great big blind spot in the top left corner and is that wood paneling in a space ship !
I do not like that.

In all honesty I think the cockpit of the type 7 looked better and had better visibility.

Agree, but hey its still a damn good looking ship....very well balanced power to hard-points and internals....I've played it in combat and the blind spot doesn't seem to get in the way....

I will keep it of course and it is great but if FD could offer a ship interior refurbishment upgrade as well as skins...

Quite. The interior of the Python is just positively ghastly darling!

The FDL does have the cockpit bar issue more so than the Python but I don't mind either.

But the FDL's interior is dead posh and futuristic where the 1970's Python looks like my nans kitchen. It must be a Faulcon DeLacy thing, the Anaconda has panels of yellow Duplo Lego.

Has there been any indication of paid for interior refittings coming in the future ?

I mean a 57 mil ship and I have to look at wood.

I could't laugh more now :,D

That's not wood..... Unless you're looking at your lap. If that's the case I think you have the wrong forum. It's just a burnt orange paint. As far as the blindspot is concerned... Even with turrets being kinda gimp... 2x Large Turrets up top, 2x Medium Rails and 1x Large Plasma Accelerator on bottom. PVE is a cakewalk all around. PVP against middle to low skill commanders is also a cakewalk. The blindspots a non-issue for me, and I use head tracking.

That IS wood paneling in a space ship. Which is why I named mine "The Station Wagon". I love my Python. In all it's wood panel glory!

I love the wood paneling as well, but it reminded me of the interior of a luxury yacht more than a station wagon (shudders). I'm also definitely keeping my Python, it's too good of a ship to get rid of just because of the stupid blind spot.

The Python interior is very retro isn't it? I keep half expecting to find an 8-track player hidden in there somewhere. When we can walk around our ships the living area will probably look like this.

This is way worse than the bars on the Fer-de-Lance. I can't see how people can complain about he FdL canopy compared with the Python one.

Visibility on either doesn't bother me. The issue I have with the FDL cockpit is geometrically it doesn't look right. I know its 'drawn' to make it look 3D as you sit in the offset seat but the angles are wrong.

Look at the cockpit from outside then from inside and it doesn't match up. It looks from inside like its deliberately asymmetrical.

Either the programmer/ artist didn't do technical drawing at school or the FDL cockpit was done on a Friday afternoon after a long liquid lunch.

If you keep staring at it you will always see it.
I have been flying a Python for a long time. I don't notice it at all.
