ok after 3 nights of fiddling with star citizen i can honestly say as it stands its got potential......

if anything its made me want to play elite more...

will be back tonight ....i thought elite was boring but,I discovered all sc had to offer in its current state in about 30 mins lol.....roll on SQ42



if only elite had the mechanics now to tinker with your ships and walk around the docking stations then I wouldnt even give SC a thought.

I've been playing since the start of PB (minus a 2 months break). I still look forward to every gaming session feel spoilt for choice. Don't get me wrong: I'd welcome more content, and even more things to do, but I think the game has a lot to offer in its current guise.

my trouble is ...i set up elite...with all the toys that you can imagine....but i just sit there with no insentive to work for any of the factions....or do any of the boring trade runs or mining.

and have no desire to start again....its been a long grind to get where i am money wise.....
i need to go into cryogenic suspension for a while i think......just until the Thargoids begin a crusade across our solar system.

I just wish it was less repetitive with it, i.e. missions that lasted longer and required more activity/planning. "After a fierce battle, ship ABC is stranded 10,000LY away in Deneb 3 and is offering 3,000,000 credits for 25T of fuel". Obviously with the amount based on player's rank and so forth. I wouldn't mind stuff that was worth more but more travel was required. Assassination missions into rival power spaces for example (not necessarily part of powerplay).

Ok, disclaimer... I'm another kickstarter backer about to have a rant, but i'll try and keep it brief(ish):

After playing for 6 months since release (i'll ignore by time as beta backer), I think I have come to the point where I have "seen it all" and that makes me really sad because that should never happen with this game. Don't get me wrong this is a great game, I still love the sheer joy of flying around and "doing stuff", but I'm in dire need of adventure and I can't find it. For me (appreciate others will think differently) PP is a timesink and all about politics. I don't have huge amounts of time to waste and i really don't care about politics so it's not for me. I'm glad some people are enjoying it though.
I backed ED because i wanted adventure, i wanted to be a lone wolf in a vast universe with adventure and danger around every corner.
I've done all the trades and have enjoyed doing all of them, but what i really love is exploration, but after travelling many 10's of thousands of ly's across the galaxy i find it to be utterly, breathtakingly beautiful but completely devoid of game content. I want to go 20,000ly into the void and find ship wrecks, dysons spheres, signs of old civilisations, anything. I can imagine branching missions in the void that take you on a trip to nearby systems and puzzles and clues to be solved to find hidden treasure or valuable artifacts and i want to feel like I'm the first to find it.
I think most of this kind of content can be added now, but it's not, which makes me think that's deliberate. Maybe all of it is coming in one massive content update which is payable; that's great, i hope so!!

But for now I'm left adventureless and feeling like I'm in a huge basket that has yet to have anything in it.

PLEASE FD, let me know; just give me a hint, between you and me, that even the slightest bit of what I've mentioned is coming soon??? I don't care if i have to pay for it; i'll give you a blank cheque, but i would really like to know that it's on it's way!

Ditto. As I posted in another thread here just now I find the game a bit dull and lifeless it just doenst pull me in. I havent played PP at all and have no real desire to do so. Just not my thing.
