Cannot dock with Type-7

Hi all,

I got myself a Type-7 Transporter, and I have been to 3 different outposts where I am unable to dock, I keep getting "docking request denied".

It is worth noting that I play in SOLO mode. I did try "open play" once to see if there would be a difference, to no avail.

I can see NPC ships landing and taking off, even a python, which leads me to believe the size of my ship isn't a problem.


I have also restarted the game twice, to no avail.

The stations I have attempted to land on are:
- Atfero/Brothers City
- Afli/Thomas Ring
- cannot remember the 3rd one sorry

Has anyone experienced this, if so, how have you sorted it out?

T7 needs a large pad. Outposts are off limits.
Python can land on medium pad, so is ok there (one of that ships huge advantages).

Yeah you can't dock at outposts. Landing pad is too small.

I had the same thing when I got a T7.
Thing is I kept seeing T7 leaving the outpost.
They kept spawning and flying off, also arriving and docking.
Had me confused for a little while.

As above. Outposts have size S and M pads, no size L pads. The Type 7 needs a size L pad, hence every docking attempt will fail.

If there's no feedback about no pad being large enough on the station, perhaps this should be included in the 'denied' message to the commander for clarification.

No way. People keep insisting on posting that the AI don't cheat.

Of the good trade ships, the only one that can land at outposts above the T6 are the ASP and the Python. T7, T9, Anaconda and Clipper are out.
