I can't be the only one that feels that way - surely?

So I don't get why people who say they want to be in open for the interaction/PVP wouldn't be there. I understand that lots of people prefer solo and some prefer private groups and that's fine. I just genuinely don't get why those that say they prefer open aren't there all the time - technical reasons aside.

It's not as if you win or lose anything by progressing faster or slower and you can't reliably tell what anyone else is up to anyway.

That's a perfectly solid viewpoint. You enjoy, and thrive in open. Many do. That's why I say it's only a perception that you earn better in solo.

No need for them to provide polls or data. I've just disproved their hypothesis sungle-handedly, by playing in Open. :p

No, you got it wrong. We WANT our world to be influenced and affected by others. But only by others we can see and in turn affect them.

I'm a STRONG Frontier supporter, but I think that the PP "expansion" brought the majority of Players to Play in SOLO.
Gone are the glorious days in which Altair was full of Pirates pirating, Traders trading and Bounty Hunter (like me) hunting. Same in Lave/Leesti cluster, a desert, same in Gliese 868, flies flying. Now that those griefers douchebags are gone, it would be the better time to come back to OPEN and what happens? Powerplay.

Since PP launch, every day has got worse, and worse, and worse. It's too easy to get bewitched by the UMBALANCED advantages that SOLO mode brings. I'm not against PP at all: but make it appealing in OPEN!
Trading in solo, getting merits in solo, supporting your power in solo, "Combat-zoneing" in solo. It's so easy. And it affects the OPEN galaxy in the same way, so why take the risk, why bother? But what game there is without risk? But it seems the majority of people prefers shooting fishes in a barrel.
I Play in SOLO myself, sometimes, it's OK: but the fun part happens in OPEN. happened.
I play in BST+1 timezone, so it should be full of European people at least. The only little fun starts very late at night, when Player from USA start logging in...

Here is my forecast for the near future: if nothing will change, OPEN mode will become like Mobius but in the opposite way: Players who want to do consensual PvP. A huge Arena mode. And that's all.

5 trillionthousandmillions stars and you, ALONE. SOLO. HAN SOLO.

M.M.O.: Massive. Mono-Player. Offline.

To narrow it even further only by those you can see, because Open affects Solo as much as Solo affects Open.

You know the answer don't you, but its going to create a lot of complaints? ED has to change so that PP only works in Open.
