So vets think it is fun to kill new players with no words

Ok so far I have tried open 4 times in last month. So far I have been killed by a much stronger player with not so much as a word before they open fire on me. REALLY!!! Do you top players really think it is fun driving all other players back to SOLO? Do you really want to have the entire game to yourselves after you drive all the newer player away?

Well stuff it then. I will stick to SOLO or wing with my buds. The griefers can have open to themselves. I see no fun getting killed just cause someone wants an easy target in a asp. All 4 times now I had less then a 10K bounty on me when killed, and not in the system the bounty was active. So using that as an excuse is wrong.

Yup, lots of people out there that glory in the destruction of others.

My personal advice is leave starting areas ASAP or play solo until you feel confident to get about. Most players are friendly and nice but some seem to have the EVE mentality :)
Theres even one or two offering new player mentoring help.

90% of Open experiences are positive, its just the 10% that arn't affect you much more :p

So far in open 100% of my experiences been negative. Have not met 1 friendly player, or even 1 that spoke a word before firing. I am not a great player, and do not play a lot as I work 14 hour days. So this kind of will keep me solo. Not till I am better/stronger, but permanently.

Well, here's an explanation, many an EVE players have swaggered over here all drunk from the koolaid of EVE behavior and have begun doing the same ehm they do in every game including EVE, use the tool FD has wisely gave others, play in solo or in group mode and you'll be free from feces.

Hay, I play solo 99% ofl the time. I'll take a sidewinder out in open just to loose it. However: If see a 10k bounty, it IS mine and would be in any other form of play. Sorry buddy, I don't grief, but you have a bounty like that, you are a viable target.

First of all - where are you flying? I've played exclusively in Open since launch and have never so much as been interdicted by a Cmdr.

But also...? You're flying around with a bounty and complaining when people claim it? In a game where (apparently) people will happily kill you for nothing?

I think you need to chalk this up to experience, learn how to run, avoid populated space and treat other Cmdrs with wary caution.

Still, I question how you managed to play your way up to an Asp without learning all this already?

Stop trying to bully people into not attacking you by threatening "I'll go to solo!" That is very childish and ridiculous that you think you should decide what are the requirements for someone to blow you up. With a big head like that you probably will do much better in solo where you get to be the one who decides how all players in the game should play.

An asp is more than capable of escaping a full wing of the highest end combat ships in the game with the right know how FYI.

What system were you in? Have you declared a Powerplay faction?

The vast majority of experienced players take no joy in popping noobs. In busy stations, players rarely talk to each other unless they already know you, or if you direct text them by selecting them on the comms panel. Many people are playing in VR, and miss messages as well.

Even in solo he'll get hassle with a 10k bounty, S.J.As new minions will eat him alive.

That's funny. I've only played in open since the game was released and I haven't been killed by other cmdr's.

Sounds like you're hanging around the wrong systems. There's a probably a few hundred million you can access currently, I'd try some other ones until you get better.

I would have thought, that the game's name was a clear indication of what it would be like. ELITE - DANGEROUS doesn't sound like some friendly game where you can live a peaceful life, i think you might be confusing this with the Sims.

Just wait till the great mistress of minions improves them even more... solo will be truly require you to fly smart!
