Update Has Destroyed My Trade Route

I'm at work, so can't check. Could this be to do with a 'new' controlling faction taking over and deeming that commodity illegal?

From the 1.3.06 patch notes :-

- Activated Powerplay effects to make the appropriate Commodities legal or illegal in markets controlled or exploited by Powers. The System - Authorities have been informed about these changes to their prohibited lists.

Maybe they're trying to clear out all those Imperial Slaves for sale in Federal Democracies. >_____> Seems like the legal-illegal lists have been a bit borky of late.

Since the update the station I was selling Imperial Slaves at no longer lists them.

Anyone else encountered this?

Trade routes aren't static. The galaxy isn't static. It has been like this since the start (whether because of player action or updares). If your milk run dries up - move on to new pastures and milk somewhere new.

when another faction takes over a staion, the prohibited list changes according to their list. So for example if a democratic faction took over your spaceport then imps are banned.

Same here, my 11M Imperial Slaves/Gold trade route isn't good anymore.
The unit of Imperial Slaves is gone from 2.500 to 500!! I'll be forced to get back on traditional trading routes...

I did wonder why I was able to buy over 400T of Imperial Slaves every ten minutes from a station that had them listed as prohibited. Ah well.

I had the same problem a few days ago. I was running a route briefly in Hudson's space where the station said Imperial Slaves were illegal, but they were happily being purchased by the only independent station in the system. In fact, I didn't realize until the third or fourth trip when I got scanned and fined that they were illegal at all. My guess is that now, after this update, they won't appear in the commodities at all.

I am nearly certain there will be a faction in that system that does allow the buy/sell of imperial slaves. If you want to try something different, start pushing the faction that allows such a thing, trigger a war, win the war, and have the other faction take over the station. Presto, you can buy/sell slaves again. You will be looking for an Imperial aligned faction (of course) or a Dictatorship Independent.

Good Luck!

We should just have an actual black market, that works purchase/sell-wise just like the legal market, instead of whatever it is we have passing for criminal business operations. Land at a station, peruse their market if you have access to it, watch for cops on the way in and out unless it's a criminally-run station. Then we'd actually be able to Han Solo around doing actual smuggling instead of just fencing TVs we stole out of the back of a truck.
