Questioning about shadowbanning

Hi all

I hope this is the right forum for my question. :)

i just wanted to hear about the shadowbanning, is there a chance one might have been banned without a reason (coding error etc), the reason I ask is because I have not seen a human player for a looong time now.

Now, I am not a pirate or bounty hunter, I do not attack or spam people, so I should not have done anything to get my self banned, if I am anyway :) I just want to know if you can see anywhere if you have been banned, since that might explain why I do not meet any players at the moment.

As far as I know If you have been banned you will be informed by e-mail.

Easiest way to check is to hit up community goal sites or Lave cluster, if there's nothing going on then you are probably shadowed.

I'll try to go to Lave when I get the time then, currently I am in the other end of the galaxy

Yeah, chances are if you go to core world/starter world you'll see plenty of people.

Yes, go to LHS 3447. There should be plenty of CMDR's. And being a pirate or a bounty hunter isn't a shadowban offense. Combat logging (against NPC's or CMDR's), hacking, jeopardizing the integrity of the game, using other exploits. Those are shadowban offenses.

You get warnings though. It's not a 1 and done thing.

This is a bit of a strange question; There certainly has not been hundreds of thousands of players shadow-banned. Nope, between the preference of Solo play/Mobius group and the huge galaxy available; you just won't find many Open players, except in spots.

I can understand why you think it is a strange question - the reason I am asking is because I *used* to see a lot of CMDRs, but have not seen any for some weeks now, that is all that is to it :)

I am mocking about around the empire system I would guess, I have pledged to the young princess of the Empire and is flying around near her base :)

Could it be that your ISP or something between you and the ED servers is out of whack? If your connection is a mess you probably won't get into any instances with other pilots.

Yeah... if you go across the entire galaxy, thousands of light years away from occupied space... you won't see people. I think we've all been trolled.

@pnptcn: My ISP should be just fine, I will try to go to one of the main hubs as suggested before, then I will probably meet som CMDRs

@Holycow: It was more to tell people that I did not grief or spam people and so one, I am not fully aware of every rule in this game, but no of course you wont be banned for playing the game :)
