Finding Local Factions

Yeah so, you know how you're making jumps like mad to get somewhere and you get interdicted, kill the guy and go about your way?

And then, you look in your "claims" log and have a bounty claim for a local faction but have absolutely no idea where that faction is?

Yeah...finding local factions...that thing. :(

BTW - If anyone happens to know where the "Simarasir Dynamic Solutions" faction is located, I'd be grateful to get that tip. :)

As an explorer who's visited Sag A* I always chuckle when people complain about something in civilized space being too far away. Back when I did rare runs, before we could plot courses out to 1000 light years, it was a pain in the ass. Things in this game aren't just going to be worth your time that easily. You have to make it worth your time. Sell cargo there, bounty hunt there, see what the place is about. Instead of having an excuse to go somewhere new you're treating it like a chore.

It would be nice if there was a map mode that put markers for your various transactions. One pin type for bounty vouchers, another for combat bonds, another for your bounties and one for legacy fines.

Hey now, we got busy bustling lives around here in civilization. 'Fly over' systems that pester you with piracy are hardly worth more than a glance. Really, in my book, best to leave such meatbag piles alone. I keep my little bounties around just to remind me of where I should find future Imperial Slaves to sell to more cosmopolitan locales. Give those smelly pirates something to aspire to, really.

Yes, absolutely...could even just be another data filter on the Galaxy map like allegiance or government type.
