Patch Notes Update Server side update; June 26th 2015

Hello once more, we've released a server side update to both PC and Xbox One. There should be no downtime or hiccups for this (as it already completed). :)

Server side updates:


  • Fix number of visited systems statistic not updating
  • Fix incorrect part-exchange and insurance rebuy costs for ships
  • Reliability improvement in local starport news

Not sure what you mean be "no hickups". When I launch the game Im asked to update the launcher. Only problem is ... I have no idea where to do that. There's a stupid message telling me the "SEE NEWS".... but news contains nothing of relevance.

I guess you haven't played for a while and you need to update the launcher to the latest version (nothing to do with this server update BTW). You need to go to your FD Store account, go to My Downloadable products and click on the download icon, this will download the latest version of the launcher.

FD you really need to sort this it's getting silly now.

What was the new Launcher for/ looks same and no mention in update?

No fix to permits not being handed out by independent systems?

No fix for anyone who is not being offered naval/ascension missions, who have never seen such missions in months?

Any chance of a speed up? Waiting 30-60 seconds each time is pain.

So, getting an absurd amount of phantomdictions now. . .

Where you get interdicted when absolutely no NPC is in the area...but one pops up "in red" immediately after being interdicted.

Or how interdicting a ship causes the interdiction to be reversed; and so when you complete what you presume is an interdiction on your target, it is in fact stating that you escaped..and you get sent back to supercruise. And sometimes you end up in normal space all by yourself. This also includes erroneous instant completion of the interdiction mechanic as soon as you engage it...only to have it send you right back into supercruise.

I see the rare Diso Ma Corn is down to 12 units now.

The 50t amount continued way beyond the bonus period so I thought it had become permanent.

Was this a stealth nerf in this server update?

I sadly surrender about this point :mad:
Stuck too since 1.3.01, not a single ascension mission seen...opened various posts and tickets, never got an answer

Frontier are by far the least communicative and most evasive online games company I've experienced. Good luck with your tickets and posts. Generally speaking, unless you can't get into the game, it'll take a looooooong time to get anything out of them and probably cause you an enormous amount of frustration along the way.

I love ED. I can't stand Frontier's "support" (or lack thereof) or their inability to communicate with their player base in any meaningful way. Lots of pointless, contentless rhetoric and almost nothing useful communicated ever. Suck a shame, with some more modern communication policies and significantly better support processes they'd actually be very good.

Mind you, they have time to grow into it. They might improve at some point. I wouldn't put money on it but they might.
