Killing is not my business...

I'm the trader and explorer, but have to agree with the topic starter at https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=160996&p=2455949&viewfull=1#post2455949

1 the game itself has no good bounty system. It is impossible to find any player with good bounty.
2 wake scanner didn't work in supercruise. Having found somebody (a miracle!), you would definitely lose him in supercruise.
3 weak system vessels. Looks like it was intended to be funny, but are not.

Once I was tired after heavy grinding and started bashing the system vessels. I stopped when I felt the boredom. One palladium run gives enough money to wipe out Wanted. After a couple of runs I restored the Allied status with Empire.

To me, such implementation is kind of nonsense. I would have liked to bash the dog ship from the noobs, but to me it is quite boring - I even can't hear their scream or whine.

The only solution I see, the game should make possible for any player to find and punish any outlaw/griefer/etc.

I went completely unchallenged last night for 3 hours or so, despite all the talk of being put on lists and such. Many harmless ships were destroyed. The top 5 bounty board for the systems were not showing me, so thankfully most were unaware of who I was. I even talked a ship into slowing down so I could interdict them, and murder them. Maybe it would help if instead of top 5 bounties board it was a top 5 active in this system board with a "Here now look out" warning or something.

It's quite fun playing as a psycho.

Keep up the murdering - many random killers go unpunished, so it is not immersion breaking.

Perhaps your Commander name is different from your forum name? If it is please do tell us.

im not sure if it still works but before 1.3 came in...it was possible to head out with a friend..both in t9`s or annies....full of illegal slaves...
we scanned each other.....
repeatedly.....for hours.

massive bountys on our heads.

you dont need me to tell you all what we did the next night once the fine turned to bounty do i.

+1 for the Megadeth reference, and yes, system authority response in medium to high security systems should be a bit more appropriate.

Theres a gold mine of content totally ignored in this game, yet I'm sure was advertised in the Dev Diaries or DDF, I don't recall which -working for security forces.

If players could enlist with Factions security to receive current 'security threats' -names and locations of criminal players- it would make for an awesome game of cat and mouse, with some purpose.

What he is doing will encourage good change. Police npc will have teeth. Shame the thread got locked since op made a good point. If i had more money my python would help him. I am not to far from that system.

One of the critical items the game still lacks is : IFF

The common Player (whether experienced or not) literally has no idea who or what is flying around him within a System.

Friendly guy with the exact same Allied Status to that System as you : Orange hollow contact
Wanted guy with no reputation in that System : Orange hollow contact
Active Participant in the exact same Community Goal as you : Orange hollow contact
Wanted Pirate that has robbed Traders in the System since a week : Orange hollow contact
Mass-Murdering Psycho on a rampage in the System : Orange hollow contact
#1 Top Wanted Player in the entire Region : Orange hollow contact
Wanted guy point-blank Hostile to that System for countless previous crimes : Orange hollow contact
Clean combat CMDR attempting to protect Traders active for the same Community Goal : Orange hollow contact
Wanted Player emerging back into SC after destroying a clean Player and 2 System Security Ships : Orange hollow contact
Friendly Federation Player sharing the same, high Federation Rank as you : Orange hollow contact

You yourself to any other Player, regardless of Reputation, Status, Clean, Wanted, Mission or Rank.... : Orange hollow contact

Inconsequental NPCs you're Friendly or Allied with : Green Contacts!

---------------------------------

Just to state I think.... reasonably think... there's something wrong with that? - would be understatement of the year.

You - literally - couldn't make this up.

But : since the Point has been brought to Frontier's attention more than once... for some incomprehensible, top secret reason they obviously want it that way.
And as such... there's no helping them to improve something. It's impossible.

Regarding the lack of IFF:

Regarding IFF, lack of or otherwise....I woulldn't know being colourblind I can't tell orange from green...there's a reason the military use symbols to differentiate objects and not colours.

Beating a dead horse telling that to game designers though, all they want is pretty colours with no regard to the fact that even for colour sighted people different symbols reduce pilot workload (colours require extra brain procesing, you'll notice a triangle or square or cross or line faster than a colour difference between them, even if you can differentiate the shading of colours).
