How many navy ascention missions do you have to do to rank up?

Well I put in a bug report and they jigger ed my pilot to get it working. Report it as a bug.

There has been a problem with military rank progression missions and they haven't been working properly of late.
Today's patch should address the problem.

Had no problem with ranking missions appearing until I became Allied with the Empire. Have since done circa 40 missions since for the Empire and not one ranking mission has dropped since.

I would report that. As that is likely a bug.

I doubt it, depending on the rank. I definitely completed lots and lots of missions when I was approaching the higher ranks.
