Anaconda 117 Mil

if i calculated it right it isnt a big deal for people who already have bought conda without discount right?

i mean it is like ~10 mil profit or something after you sell conda and buy discounted one i think..and 95 insurance would be ~5,8 mil vs ~7,1 mil just for the bare hull..might seem worthy but not like you die that often in conda anyway and most insurance fee adds up from module upgrades anyway

of course it seems okay at first sight but considering the effort to find all the modules you want again..well maybe

^^im familar the 10 percent, wasn't aware a discount purchased ship remains discounted when you sell it. I'm close to 117m I'd better quickly grind and travel lol.

Note that the base worthwhile cost is greater than 117M; the Anaconda is somewhat weak out of the box - you'll probably want to factor in 16M for a 6A FSD, or at least 5M for a 6B. Then there's cargo racks, and at least D rating everything else in order to get half decent jump range. You'll need 8M or so in insurance, and another 7M to fill up the cargo racks, assuming you're planning to trade with the thing. If you're not, you'll need another 200M to get it ready for combat. :)

After a 109 jump return trip I got my discounted Anaconda!

I sold my T9 and upgraded a few things to D modules and it flies so much better than the T9.

I've taken her out on her maiden voyage to a high tech system where she'll stay until I can afford the upgrades.

Had no problems docking, even after spending the last two days flying an Eagle.

Unbelievably good ship to fly, I'm in love! :D

Should you desire trading in her, consider downgrading the power plant to A6, as well as the distributor. The temperature problems are only linked to the A, not the 6, and without heavy guns you won't need much energy. Saves money and weight, creates jump range and profit!

E: Oh, and D6 thrusters!

I tend not to trade nowadays, I make all my credits from exploration for which the Annie is eminently suited, so I'm more likely to go with an exploration build.

I could take her to Sag A* but I promised my Eagle we'd do that so the Annie will have to mope in the hanger until we're back. :D

I reckon that a good exploration trip will mean I can fit out the Conda to my exploring taste. I could be gone for some time...

*waves* Take pictures.

Cheers for the tip. Just gave me back around 20m and a cheaper insurance by selling my normal conda at the station and buying the cheap version

It depends what your goal is. I part exchanged my Python for an Anaconda a while back in another CG. I instantly regretted it because I loved my Python, but I couldn't resist the discount. So I went trading in the Anaconda to build my funds back up. It didn't take long and now I have both. The Python is my tank and my Anaconda finances it.

^This.

It's common sense to acquire an Anaconda as soon as possible, because an Anaconda = ~1.2M every 10 minutes, which, whether you want an Anaconda or not, can finance any future ship choices.
