I have been noticed that ED playerbase consists of mostly "Older" players (Veterans) so i hope none of you mind teaming up with slightly younger player.

I think most of us "older"

players just want to have fun playing the game and don't care who else is playing as long as they are cool. Even the "whipper snappers".

Oi, I'm not 'decrepit' - I prefer the terms, 'past it', or 'long in the tooth'....

Sigh, these young guns don't know how lucky they are - this was our controller back in the day - am I right fellas - ONE BUTTON, that's all we needed...

If I'm honest, I'm old in spirit. By the time I was 16 people thought I was 20(I even look older than my age lol), and now had one person say with sincerity "how old are you? 32? 33?" Heck my favorite cartoon's when I was a kid were Transformers G1 and Thundercat's, and at 12 I could beat the hard AI in StarCraft with no problems(except getting my AI ally to survive in 2v2) with all 3 factions in any setup.

P.S. I've played a game on that too. Was more entertaining than some modern games.

iirc, this was the more advanced controller, when CBM realised that there were left handed users too. The original stick had a tiny button right over in the left corner which gave you RSI with the 'claw grip' you had to adopt to get your thumb over there! Or maybe I'm thinking of the VIC-20 stick... hmm, my memory isn't what it used to be

Wait, is that an Attari controller? That's what I believed it was, but if it's not I may not have used one.

I totally agree with you on this one. all I want I am guessing everyone else in the fleet does is a really enjoyable time chatting and playing.

my god I cant remember how many of these I broke playing Elite and Daley Thompsons Decathlon.

It is indeed, Elite was the only game my Dad would play on it so sometimes game time was rare lol, but he had a ring binder with every planet and there trade prices in, took him 2yrs to complete....Nows that's dedication to a game. Don't think he would complete ED in 2yrs now lol

Well, if either you or I are around people can contact us for anything group related. - We could start another thread later this evening, - close this one out, and link to a new " Nova Fleet - Join with GT Here" type thread . that way it will be clearer on the threads instead of " The motely XBL gamer crew who will one day decide what they are called, post your gamer tag here"

.. lol I will include contact details for that and put us both on there are group contacts. - anyone else who would like to be available to coordinate wings for players, - can also go on there - hopefully we'll always then have someone around online for party activity

+1 That is a good idea and it would make it clearer for anyone looking to join us in our adventures across space. Anyone with questions can smartglass me or msg me on here, I get smatglass msg straight away and I am always checking forums when on break at work or at home, so could answer people hopefully pretty quickish lol
