Naval ranks are finally working!

Guys, I have an idea: I found that certain stations spawn almost only donation missions. We should compile a list of such places to help with faster ranking.

I start with my finding:

34 Pegasi / Webb port - has Federation minor faction

What's the first rule of Fight Club??! :)

Oh well. Someone had to say it out loud eventually. In before the nerf.

Well I'm stuck on the SOL permit bug on the Fed navy ascension

As a beta backer I already have a SOL permit and going to SOL doesn't help.

TBH this mission hasn't appeared for me since 1.3 at least I haven't seen it.

Just thought i'd share my experience as grinding for the clipper is my current goal

I've spent the last 6 sessions (4-6hrs each) hopping around empire faction dense clusters doing delivery, hauling, combat and charity missions. Master took me about one session, then a long grind to squire then quickly to knight, another long grind to lord, had another session at lord but no baron yet.

I seem to have maxed out empire (major) rep as never see a blue arrow anymore.

It seems to be rather sporadic if anything but working... I think?

Asside fron the grinding its been the most fun i had in a while accepting lots of missions and figuring out the most efficient path to complete them. Plus tried out various ships and load outs which was fun ( except for the DBE :p).

There's a catch 22 here. In my humble opinion it's *not* broken, and I can prove that it's not broken, but if I post a how-to of absolute proof it may accelerate FD putting in a "fix" to remove the method I've been working with others here to prove that it's not broken.

OK Samosa please post again and i will take note and test your method.
Thankyou.

OK, don't tell the super secret method if you are so afraid it is going to be removed.

But since you seem to have done some testing, do you have approximate numbers, how many high rep mission equals a naval rank above Post Commander? 50? 100? 200?

Federal Naval Ranks still don't work for me. Stuck at Midshipman, I'm just grinding to Petty Officer for Sol and then maybe Ensign for whenever the Corvette is added. Or even higher, if I need to.
