I doubt much balancing would have taken place, but the feedback on the beta bugs forum was excellent in telling you if something was in fact a bug or working as intended (even if you disagreed, feedback from them was a nice change)

I'd like to know if some of them are bugged.

Not being superior compared to the normal weapons is one thing, being completely useless is another. On the other hand, the accelerator and railgun are pretty much a direct upgrade.

I get that they need to be balanced, but what I don't get is why they weren't beta tested in the first place.

Agreed - it should be nerfed to bring it in line with some the others - give it insane fitting requirements and make it overheat your ship even when not firing. Other than that, great idea.

What Power should it go to?

Yes, yes, I know it'a a tired old thing, the Hitler video... but I've had this dumb idea rattling around and around in my head for several weeks now. I just had to let it out!
