I have one in my hold... but what scares me is... im reading the discussions about it and its 04:23 in the UK right now... problem is it makes it more erie to continue to read.... like i have a feeling were getting VERY close to finding out what it is. Anyone else?

Whatever is (or rather is not yet) out there is nothing compared to the crazy/psychopathic humanoid "civilization".
Chances are, any Alien race would be hell-bent on making the 500LY bubble around SOL a quarantine zone and simply consider us a very dangerous biohazard.
And what it is we already know since months...

Given that their Nano-Teaser produced quite a stir, leading to a Thread exceeding 10000 Posts, causing Players to repeatedly risk & loose everything and invest insane amounts of time... Frontier learned that they can easily get away with that method. Thus I can't blame them for continuing it (see SAP8 and ELITE-Rank Bulletin Missions - all leading to precisely... nothing)
At the very best... I'm sure there IS some non-celestial object to be found somewhere. But it'll be just that. Some oddball object somewhere in one of 400 Billion Systems and we won't be able to do anything but look at it and go all crazy about it.

Thanks Falcon, I always wanted to ask the people who were working on it if they realised that was most likely the outcome, but I didn't want to dash their dreams when they were working so hard on it. I'd love to have participated but my faith is so low I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if there was an intergalactic space-poop at the end of their hundreds of hours of work :/

UA aside I actually like the game, but then I'm comparing it to the original which was "sparse" to say the least.

Just be aware once you launch this item will (or at least it did with the last one found) continually degrade your modules untill you explode. If you want to keep hold get yourself some auto-maintenance modules to repair the damage.

Regarding the UA. I think the fact that it morses the name of the nearest celestial objec is quite cool. It only gets a bit meh when compared to the time it took to decode it. It's not FDs fault that we are a bit thick
