Yeeeep. My goal now, which I have decided upon at approximately 12:11 AM, is to buy a Lakon Type 9, outfit it well with weapons and good shields, and haul fish from I Bootis to the surrounding systems. On the way back, whatever I can find to make a profit, without using trade tools (they're cheating to me). Right now I have about 22 Million credits in assets, have not traded yet, and only dabbled in bounty hunting. I don't like trading in huge amounts of luxury/expensive items, I want to trade all of the commodities.
What are your weird goals? Do you have any?

Why not trade fish, in an Orca? 2meta4u m8.
OP is giving me flashbacks of Beta, when this is exactly what I did around iBootis
I don't know about specific goals, but my general intention is to be a pilot who does whatever it takes to keep flying around the edges of inhabited space, beyond the reach of galactic megalomaniacs, trying to stay on good terms with the locals and moving on from time to time. So I just try whatever takes my fancy from day to day. I don't really see myself as one single thing - a trader, a bounty hunter, or whatever... I just look at the missions on the bulletin boards, take ones that look good and let my route go where it goes. I have a major leaning towards smuggling though. I've been on an exploration trip to the Witch Head and going on another right now. In short I'm just doing jobs as they come and building up a tapestry of life as a spaceship pilot. Han Solo, Serenity, etc.
I do like to mess around now and again. I set myself the goal of replicating a Top Gun fighter, and made a Diamondback Scout with a pair of small beam lasers and two medium torpedo racks. That was a huge amount of fun. I also tried out a Federal Dropship as a mining ship (not bad) because I looked at its stats and internals and thought it might be half-decent. So basically I set myself goals from day to day.![]()
Neither: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cod_WarsIs this a fishing pun, or a hilarious typo?
What? You do realise you're not supposed to play this game for fun?
People like you should be forced to play in open around starter systems or fly a Type 7 until you've reached Elite trader rank.
Seriously though, good luck to you mate.I bet some of the posts on this forum make you laugh! Or cry...

A few months ago I spent some time up in Alliance space as a coffee vendor in a T6. I'm currently a Prince in Imperial space smuggling in an Imperial Courier. I can just about afford a T7 with some upgrades and will go back to hauling things from one place to another. Not fish though. A biowaste hauler, that sounds like a good career move.
Currently my goal is to stay away from ED until it stops being a grindathon.
Today's fish is Trout a'la Creme.
