Corpses in Weak Signal Source - BD-02 4304

I was going about my business rerouting medical supplies of kind people at the community goal when I saw a WSS popping up on my way back to the station. In the signal source I encountered the following:

Being the profit-oriented businessman that I was, I tried to get them for a profit on the black market. Sadly the game prevents you from scooping them up, they simply drop from your cargo hatch again. If only it was marked as "Immoral to pick up" instead - oh wait, right.

So somebody goes to all the trouble of dumping plague-infested corpses in deep space and you want to scoop them?!

"Warning: Category A Pathogen detected, enacting emergency quarantine and sterilisation procedure. Ejection system disabled. Self-destruct in ten seconds. 9... 8..."

Of course, that could add a whole new dimension to Powerplay if you could deliberately spread contagion to other systems via infected bodies...

Or,,,,,,,

It could be a hysterically funny way of passing on karma to a psychopath who blew you up and caused the infected container to rupture, causing the pathogens to spread out and attach to their ship.

Then,,,,,,,,,

Some time passes, giving the attached pathogens a way to permeate the hull of the ship and into the psycho’s air supply. Sometime later, as they are about to wreak havoc on their next victim they suddenly experience a woozy feeling and their control of the ship begins to falter. This eventually leads to complete black out on the screen and the message pops up that they have died. No other message appears. They simply go back to the "reincarnation" screen that informs them of their new life and brand spankin' new sidewinder they can fly around in.

Along with the measly 1000 starting credits.

Oh the subsequent forum posts about would be hilarious!!!! :D

Unfortunately, this is probably the unintended consequences of undermining activity.

"Sorry, look, I know you political prisoners, er, political ex-prisoners, and I are on the same side, and while I'd love to help you, it's just, well you see...I sort of don't have any cargo capacity on this here Vulture. Honest, I'd stick you in the spare fuel tank, but you'd just be instantly irradiated and noone wants that do they? So, I'll tell you what I can do. I'll tell the next ship I meet about you, and well, of course, I'll just be shooting them down too, and the next one, and the next one...it's all a bit of a mess, isn't it? Well, best of luck, but time waits for no man, eh? Gotta schedule to keep, if I want that rank up the missus and I are always talking about. Cheers!"
