Sarah Jane Avory, thank you!

I'll keep it short, but this seems to be one of the changes which really impacts (solo/group) gameplay a lot. I am preparing to change to openplay now in the near future but still, the AI encounters are so much more fun now and i really enjoy it.
So thanks Sarah and the hole team, of course.
I hope that you and the team can spend time on npc wingman in the near future but i guess that an alien intelligence could be an interesting thing to program, too. ;-)

It continues to amuse me how much people are clamouring for NPC wingman - myself included - when traditionally AI companions are the bane of video games everywhere.

You won't be saying thank you when Ms. Avory releases the full power of her revamped minions on us. Oh, it's all right for now - she has given us a shiny new docking computer and a slightly more challenging set of NPCs - and we can afford to be affable. However, we should not be deceived. The blow is yet to fall. What too many of you fellows don't seem to realise is that Ms Avory is the enemy, she is plotting our collective downfall and when she talks about teaching her little minions she is not joking. At the end of the day it is going to be a battle of wits between the 700,00of us players and Ms. Avory and what frightens me most is I think she will win.

*Waves* Oh, Hi, Sarah, just talking about your books, not talking about the game at all. No, no, no, why should we and we are definitely not talking about tactics. Nice cat on the cover of book one by the way.

P.S. Best not mention her name in any more thread headers, it will only encourage her to come looking and, frankly the less she knows the better.

I know its a b * ugger in these politically correct times. It was so much easier in days of yore when a lady would sign her Letters with her name followed by what title she wanted to be known by, e.g. Anne Elk (Miss). However, us mere mortal men just have to do the best we can and Ms is probably least likely to cause offence.

That said, in this case I think we should start referring to S.J.A. as, "The Lady". It is a marital neutral term but it also conveys an air of menace and power that seems apt in the circumstances.

Opps, wrong again sir, I normally refer to her as the 'goddess', even though deep down I think that she is just another mad scientist.

You know, don't you that this conversation is going to go on until one of us mentions stiletto heels (and the fact that she mentioned on here the other week that she had a pair of shoes with killer heels) .... Damn I have done it myself.

That's it I am off to bed, not least because I don't want to be seen associating with a person who regards Herself as a mad scientist. Full respect to you and all that but I hope to be playing this game for some months yet and if you think I might get onto a NPC hitlist for using the term "Ms" goodness only knows what She will do if she gets the idea that I think of her as a mad scientist.

I support this appreciation thread.

Sarah is pretty much the only developer that always come commenting on her department of work whenever she is available. It just displays her dedication in her work and how she communicates with the community...

Wish more developers will follow her footsteps and soon.

i had calculated, about a fortnight ago, that i'd most likely be making it to elite, in combat, sometime over this coming weekend.
i've had to seriously rethink that estimate.
