Yeah I expect the EVA or walkaround ships at least next year. I hope to God it doesn't keep going down their priority list like it did in EVE. I more or less walked away from EVE after Incarna was shouted down by those who shouted about 'Our game is for spaceships' I know a lot of other people did too.

I know it wasn't as bad as that German kid, you and AluminumAlloy are both mature sensible posters ... but at times, especially on this forum, it can feel like someone's read your post and seen what they what to see and then rage at that person for something they didn't actually say. I've seen it a lot on various forums, so I thought I'd try to lighten the humour here a bit and make fun of people who rage.

I would assume that it would come with the FP expansion. The million dollar question is whether they will sell customisation options (eg clothing) on the store and will people buy? I would but then I sank money into Home on the PlayStation

Just a portrait on my character status would suffice.
then if I use the chat bar, my portrait shows up with message.
if a pirate tells me to drop my cargo, I get to see his/her profile portrait with the chat message.
station landing request granted shows station tech worker etc etc.

I don't think it is an aversion to expansions so much as it is an aversion of fish out of water RPG elements being included in a game that is not an RPG. I'm all for expansions, but not character creation. For the record, I'm not big on planetary landings either. That's going to be a challenge for the hardcore simmers with homemade cockpits etc to seamlessly accomodate fps controls. Even on a desk, many will find they do not have the room necessary to game with the mouse and keyboard while their full hotas setup is on the desk.
EVE has character creation tool. But no experience bar

Well I dont need to run around in Stations in EVE cause i got a "All" Chat Window anyway.
Eve is changing constantly like all MMORPG´s and i doubt that you can compare Elite by any means to such a deep and grown up game like EVE. Eve is a MMORPG, Elite is not.
CCP prefers to polish the existing content before pushing new content. Frontier also has in that way a different opinion.
I mean walking in a station doesnt give youi something to do. What do you expect running around in stations. They will be big and empty cause there is nothing to do in there you couldn´t do already over the Docking UI.If you wanna have Eve, play EVE. Its the deepest MMORPG with spaceships you will see the next 5 years for sure.

Well planetary landings was a part of the old Elite and is wanted by a lot of people including me. Other stuff like the CQC minigame in the real game is something i really dont know what its purpose shall be. Giving people rewards into the real game out of this riskless minigame will completly destroy normal pvp.

Think we need some kind of customisation to our characters if/when first person updates are introduced to ED. That could just be customisation of our flight suits and that would be enough in my opinion. So, sex of avatar, a dozen colours to apply to each section of the suit (eg, torso, legs, arms, helmet), various point on the suit to add emblems/symbols (eg, PP-related, Pilot Federation, miscellaneous) and display our various ranks. Things like that.
