Illicit Cargo docking.

It may be easy and fast, but that's why it's also so boring. Practically 0% risk to make you feel the tension(best part for me) of sneaking contraband past the authorities. ;)

just pick a station that is independent and who cares about the fines... when it gets too high jump into a sidewinder and go kill yourself, make the bounty dormant and go play somewhere else for 7 days ... rinse/repeat.... that is way tooooo slow of a dock to make good money

If he'd approched the FSD dropout planetside it would've been much faster, and fine's are so cheap pre-large ship's(T7, Python etc.) it's easy and still profitable to pay them off. To me it sound's like you're doing the less profitable thing, unless you're in a large ship in which case I'd never smuggle in one because of the huge fine and frequency with which they get scanned. ;)

I consider fines just part of the cost of doing business. If you take on only high paying smuggling missions, the fines are just a tiny dent in the profit, and even then, you don't get dinged every single time, even if you use a Docking Computer and just sit out there like a sitting duck waiting to get scanned! lol! ;)

well I have smuggled a little over 100 million in imperial slave profits in my clipper and my fine is up to 8 million.... like i said a little sidewinder death action and a 7 day vacation and it will be all good again

Like I admited big ship=big bounty, which is why I say not worth it for me. Long run I make roughly just below your earning since I don't relocate at all and keep making steady profit with no interuption's downside being less cargo(126 max in biggest small ship).

you make 8 mil an hour with 126T cargo hold... please do let me in on your secret... lol

Took a Type-9 to get to 8 mil an hour with almost 500 T cargo hold..... so Im doing something wrong or you are the wizard at this game

Wake me up when we arrive, awwwwwwwwwwwwwn! What in gods name took you so long? Are you star gazing or what? You simply exit SC and boost, boost, boost until you are 7.5km and in direct line. Then request dockng and 1 last boost, switch on Rotational Correction (I prefer it off in fights for peace), Lights ON, Gear Down at 2.5km and 75% or whatever you need to get it at under 100km/s at entry just in case you meet another ship. Easy. Especially when you are already Allied for goodness sake!

Easy, contract's plus other cargo's. I can make 1 mil in 15-20 minute's if I were to grind, but I don't. I got 20 mil in 2 hr.'s(extreme good luck with many 290k-320k contract's going to same place at same time) to get my Fed Dropship, but then sold it because I found out the grind made me asscend to quick and my ship was too powerful for my liking at my then current play time.

well you need to write a guide because you say you can make 10 mil an hour without a tradeconda or a T-9 and about every other person playing this game cannot......... I mean dudes in end game trading platforms that are robotic with precision are making 10 or so million an hour ....

It's the contract's, I was in a good area with abundant contract's of above 260k plus friendly with all faction's and faster ship's. Most every trip I had 3-4 280k-320k contract's and knew the local market's so would buy and sell the biggest money maker's. Now if you were to do this in your ship yes you'd make more because of bigger cargo hold, also after the math you do realize I make half what you make because I sacrificed cargo space for speed and consistancy? I said in my post I make almost the same "long term" not "per hour" I never have to relocate so don't lose any profit from moving plus have such good rep the contract's just roll in 75% of the time and even the other 25% I'm not having much trouble making decent profit's.
.
And re-read the 20 mil. in 2 hour's part because I put in a very important detail I left ou originaly.

I have three different trade routes that all pay about 10 mil per hour ... so I mean i dont see how relocating means anything.... my point is that 10 mil an hour is the making power of an end game trade ship .. so if you are making 20 mil in 2 hours (in a much smaller ship) you need to write a guide so we can all learn

I explained it, no need to make a guide as it's only if I grind which I've never done since. All you need is luck and.....wait I put 2 hr.'s? It was day's, I don't keep track of hour's but I had played at least 10 hour's between the 2 day's. Sorry, my bad. God 10 mil. an hour that sounds like hell incarnate to make that in an hour after my time to het 20 mil. I'd originally thought you just had bad rout and was rolling with it, then was typing noticed I was writing "hour's" looked at my previous post's and sure enough I'd screwed up.

Multipul missions is definatly the way to go smuggling. Im not anywhere near your figures yet, but ive never had a problem making money even while traveling.

I would say in high security systems that speed>stealth, however a well prepaired cold run is definatly almost risk free, espically if your smuggling your own goods.

A heatsink can make a cold fast run possible. Shutting down everything but your thrusters, and sensors after asking for dock at the greatest range. Line up and boost in pop a sink or two at about 2.5km and boost through the gate if a scan starts. I like to turn on my dock computer after the gate so it lands me while I turn everything back on.

You may want to read my last post if you haven't, I made a gramatical error. ;) The 20 mil. was made in about 10 hour's over 2 day's not 2 hours.

ok, that makes more sense... if you made 20 mil over two days of playing that is easy in any ship..... unfortunately to make big bucks you have to trade and you are right it gets boring as hell.... I think I am about to work on my combat rank or go exploring for a few days ..... really tired of the trade grind

If you call it easy then I really do hate grind more than I thought, was ready to tear my hair out and felt like I'd done some serious grinding but apparently not compared to other's.
