New Fed-exclusive ship!

Imps have the clipper and courier and there are the rumors about the Imperial Eagle.

Feds have that dumpy dropship, but to really throw them a bone (and maybe increase Hudson/winters numbers), FD ought to give them the Cobra Mark IV. A nice, sleek, curvy upgrade on the Mk 3. Make it a combat trader, with just average jump range. It can fit alongside the ASP which is an explorer trader, and the DBE which is a combat explorer. Come on FD, you know you want to.

Alliance guys might be sad too that they don't have an exclusive ship. They can have the Winnebago from Space Balls.

Funny thing, I would normally have said that the very idea of a Cobra MK IV is terrible. Except apparently they are doing just that for the Eagle, and also changing the model while they are at it (and the new model is hideous to boot).

How about we work on increasing Archon Delaine's numbers first...?

Have you considered the Federation may have been introduced to deliberately to fail and crumble?

I personally expect the Alliance to surge if/when Thargoids arrive with the Federation failing to hold what they have left.
Imperials will probably suffer too if Thargoids arrive but will probably also fracture even more and may even split to Imperial and Rebellion or something creating a new fourth faction (as federation slowly disappear). Im thinking the whole slavery thing will be a big turning point.
Smaller factions like Antal/Li Yong-Rui may struggle with Thargoids unless they go the Alliance way with Mahon and become friends. The pirate faction I assume will revel in the lawlessness and generally carry on attacking everyone assuming they don't get 5th columned into last place and crumble.

I may be completely wrong but whilst the Imperials seem stronger and more popular they also seem to disagree with each other more making the major fraction fractured.
Just my 2p on the imbalance that appears to favour federation.
