Also forgot to say that actually meeting people that had previously only ever been a voice on teamspeak was also pretty cool.

Apologies if missed, is there already an "official" transcript or summary of the q&a with devs at Lavecon (other than the great posts at the beginning of this thread I mean) or is there a video of the session uploaded anywhere?

No, no video, but based on the link I gave above there should be a audio recording (unless there has been a misunderstanding somewhere)...but it hasn't been released yet.

The Q&A was not streamed / video recorded. People are just about back home and recovered (caught up on their sleep) now from the weekend, so any further updates etc. will come in due time (notice how I avoided the 'Soon' word :))

The Lave Radio team recorded the audio but stated that they needed to edit it prior to release (sanitizing the reveals?). I'm personally hoping they broadcast the Q&A as part of tonight's live show starting at 8:30pm (BST).

For the reassurance of those who weren't there, we did our very BEST to extract information from the devs.

We tried encouraging Sandro to spill his guts about 1.4

There is no Lave Radio tonight - they posted on Facebook that they are still recovering from the weekend.

Heh! You note that the DDA allowed wingmen to 'rebel', 'leg it' or 'backstab' depending on certain conditions of hire, and what happens out in space. Would love to have seen that implemented for all of the bug reports. "The wingman that I hired at that disreputable pirate platform for 5cr a day attacked my Type 9 full of palladium the moment we were in a secluded area of space! Whaaaaaa! FIX IT DEVS!" :D

A general q: how much were/ are tickets to Lavecon? It sounds a right laugh, and it will take me a year to build up manpoints with the wife to let me go if there is one for 2016.

Anything from 15 to 300 odd depending on whether you were popping in for the day or staying fri sat and sun night. High end tickets had lunch dinner and goodies included as well as a very comfy bedroom... for twin or double occupany/attendance. The single rate was a little cheaper etc etc The cheap ones had tea and coffee all day.

I'm sure that Karen and the rest of the Lave Radio team will be looking at it all and based on how much we spent at the hotel, there may be arm twisting of the hotel, too.

Certainly from feedback therr seems to be even more content available for everyone when it happens next time.

I'm all in favour of cheaper tickets, but Allen & Karen have to make sure the event pays for itself. It sucks I know, but it's not fair on Allen & Karen if the event deliberately makes a loss.

personally speaking I felt the event was good value for money. the 50 quid ticket included two restaurant meals AND entry to all that days events. Theme park tickets cost more and don't include food.

From all accounts the hotel rooms were excellent, but you could always find a cheaper hotel and pay for both days,

Am in no way advocating cheaper tickets, just saying there was a full range available to suit all budgets.
