I'm off... had enough... B backer even bought a X55 lol that's sick of the only game in this game INTERDICTION and no..... I refuse to hide in solo mode like all my friends do! to me that option is so wrong it's not funny so when it "Elite" grows up a bit I'll be back to walk on planets and stations.
But I would like to thank the DEV's and Brabs for there effort it's a huge challenge and it's hard to please all the idiot's including me

too many things just don't add up in this game for me I could post a huge list or complainer troller click bait ect ect as some will put it but I don't see the point I don't feel like part of a community hell I can't even say my CMDR name :S

The 2 friends I talked into buying this game have regretted it... they did like it initially but for mainly due to above mentioned issue and refuse to even have a chat about it and have uninstalled it! there back on eve..
I'm old enough to know when I'm beat .. I did not want to shoot everything in sight I wonted a space game with today's tech "not C64" in which my friends online and local could join in together not hiding in solo we may as well be playing in the 80's again.
So I will read the news letters every month and look forward to the day the bigger expansions come out!.

To be honest, I am not quite sure what you are trying to tell us? Why cant you say your cmdr name? Why cant you join your friends and play online? Why are people hiding in solo? And what is this about interdiction? I'm actually in LHS3447 and Eravate and there is literally nothing bad happening to new players whatsoever...

I'm not far off the same boat, tbh. I bought this game along with 4 friends, one of which paid £100+ for premium beta, and I am the only one who still plays it, and even then I hadn't played for a few weeks and until I logged in for a game last night. I want to take my 'conda out and have fun but I'm not really feeling it. I'm not a fan of PP at all, the CGs are not what they were pre-PP, I have about 50 mil in the bank and a half decent conda so not skint enough to need to trade. I guess I expected too much from the game, I believed all the hype, my bad I suppose. I'll keep it installed though, pop in now and then and just hold out to see what future updates bring.

this week, i:
-got killed by another FDL player, he used my tactic against me: ramming. twice, in our HQ system! paid $2.5m insurance. thats pocketmoney. he vs 2 (me and a clipper, had to rush into his wake afer he got interdicted by that FDL). to the FDL cmdr: kudos. *tips hat*
-had to selfdestruct my ship due to a bug. i care(d) only for the 1200 merits i made that day. screw it, i will get into a 3 or 4-wing and make it back in a few hours. oh, another 2.5m pocketmoney "spent".
-accidently got into a 4 vs 4 chase from 2 opposing factions (not including mine, ALD), an anaconda interdicted me. i thought " iam done", wrote "argh" in the chat. he was 5Km away already, and prepared to jump. what happened? he pressed the "target infront" button and instantly interdicted me. wrong target i assume. happens. HE learned his lesson: "always check if your target is the right one", haha
-hopped back to my python, which is @ $8.7m rebuy now. cant wait to meet that commander able to kill me/us while farming - and my C3BeamTurret+2 Hammers cant wait to meet you aswell ^^
-had to sell and re-buy some guns for my python, i.e. raising expenses, due to no discount on them. so what?
-i set a new goal: make my python worth $10m for rebuy. maybe the mirrored surface alloys will do the trick...

I'm not sure what the problem with Open play is.

In the Power Headquarter systems, I'm constantly interdicted by crappy NPCs of other Powers, but almost never by other players.

On the subject, it's an utter joke that those guys are only worth 200Cr bounty. At the very least they should give you merits when you destroy them. Should probably post that in suggestions though.

I had a 500K bounty in one system, was trying to dock to sell some stuff, got interdicted no less than 10 times on my way in. It was great, I loved it. I am now out in the void exploring in a DBE. Variety is the spice of life. You can say your Commander name as long as you are not naming and shaming. Mine is Whiterose. (Not Waitrose as a PvP player called me shortly before an interdiction, which made me laugh).
I play on my own, never formed a wing, unpledged to a power, in open, and I am still having fun. Yes the game has limitations, but I know FD are working on things, so while I am still having fun I will continue.
Sorry you are leaving, hopefully we will see you back.

You do know its possible to stop playing and not mardily announce the fact to the forum?
I havent logged in and played for over 2 weeks, I've become bored with ED.
However I havent felt the need to mention that fact until now, and thats only to point out that quitting playing isnt something that needs to be announced like a stroppy teenager.

Well i also switched back to EVE cause ED is simple yet to empty, unfinished and has no real community.
EVE has simply more teamplay and is an MMO. ED is not an MMO. It´s a Coop-Player Simulation. Thats for the most people not enough.

It´s that simple. Most people expected a SciFi Sandbox with Cockpits. Which is not the case.

I wish you good luck and hopefully you have reasons in the future to come back. I missed KS and bought PB1 for $150. I'm a bit in the same boat so I can understand what you are saying. Haven't played ED for quite a while but I keep visiting the forums and the work for EDCodex and EDDN etc keeps me quite busy wit ED related stuff. Just not playing it and waiting for more to come. Perhaps when EDCodex is released I'm gonna start again....
