Many posts about SJA, but has she really gone too far yet.???

The powers are gone, bring forth the
KNIGHTS OF THE AI REALM.
Our reporter from the frontline Cmdr Nosscar, brings us this report.
 i am bringing this to you from Jameson Memorial, Shinrarta Dezhra (Founders) System, it is a massacre, the stations almost destroyed, the pilots federation fleet has been annihilated.
The NPC's ships are far superior to us, they make our pilots look like harmless noobs, they didn't stand a chance.
It's the end for all of us, Shinrarta was the last chance for the galaxy, our last hope, now it's gone.
I was forced to broadcast these messages from the knights.

SJA The new Emporess - Mankind will not survive, you will all be assimulated into my minion collective. you cannot resist.

Lancelot "Brooksy" added - Our forces are enroute to Sol, you will all be destroyed, it is only a matter of a few...... err, well soon(tm)

Galahad "Evansy" commented - We have new ships, at least 2, and new superior stations, and they all look different.

El cid sandy-yo stated - we have bigger guns, and they will not be nerfed.

Percival Edward Lewisham - Instructed. - If any of you want to complain about our actions, then post it on my missile as it rips through your hull. (And Tribbles will be the next rare good)

I have a vision, the way i want this Universe to become.
I have consulted my designers and forum team.
My plans are in the Imperial Archives, i read them recently, and ...... well it's going to be nothing like that.

My Minions are superior, you will all join my minions.
I will rule the Universe.

I wish something like this would happen. SJA is doing great work improving the AI, but warnings are there in other games and films, the x-series had AI evolve and attack mankind, Cylons in Battlestar Galactica did the same.
But the AI needs to be more challenging, it will make the game more fun, especially in solo and groups.
We need a war, bring it on Sarah, revolt and take over the universe.
Then maybe we could have the Thargoids come save us. lol

It is nothing to do with being female, the way i see it, the AI and DC improvements are the highlight of recent patches, i am not keen on PP, so SJA has rightly been commended for her work on the AI, and it has recently been mention a lot on other posts, and SJA's minions and Evil genius (as she has been called) have become a bit of fun lately, so nothing weird about it.

Every dev active on the forums gets attention, and she happens to be one of the most active, plus with a good dose of dark humour. It is very silly of you to attempt to imply anything beyond that.

I honestly think that overall her role is detrimental to the game. The basic NPC AI is so shockingly bad that they have hired someone to up their stats to unfair levels to hide the fact that they are rubbish. This has given the NPC's faster ships, better weapons, better shields and more power than any human player can achieve. This is not good game design, its a massive fudge, jut like the rest of the game.

It has been stated many times that the AI ships are no better than what a CMDR can get.

i honestly disagree, the AI was really bad in Alpha.Beta, and even after release. It is an ongoing project, it has already been much improved, and she is already planning changes in behaviour and logic, as well as the recent (and ongoing) better use of what they have. Rome wasn't built in a day, give it time.

And i don't see them with better weapons or shields than us, they use the same.

For example?

Technically they do cheat as they have unlimited projectile ammo (but not unlimited missiles/chaff), but that's about it. They don't have better shields and no better engines than the ones we can get.

Edit: oh right, the plasma burst weapon? yeah, elite sucks because we can't have that one ;-)

Everyday there is 2 or 3 threads going on about it. I agree she has done a good job in 1.3 and it's much improved the game, but when something good happens in other parts of the game you don't get pictures and shrines and people calling them 'mistress' or 'emporess;

In fact the others almost never get mentioned by name except David Braben from time to time. I'm sorry but this is just weird.

Not anywhere near like this they don't. The sound in Ed is great to. Where's the shrines to that guy?
