Which rank is more prestigious, combat, trade or exploration?

Trade finances the other 2. If you see someone with elite trader first, that means they're going for the triple crown and with nearly inexhaustible funds its just a matter of time until they get it.

Triple Elite > any single Elite.

1 of these 3 takes physical skill and logical skill, 2 of these can be done with just logical skill.

Are you seriously trying to claim that reaching Elite in combat requires skill? People did it by parking turreted Pythons and Condas next to npc battlecruisers and going afk for a day lol. Comabt rank means nothing other than a rough indication of whether a player is totally new or not.

Exploration at least requires a certain level of dedication and carries the risk of losing days, weeks, even months worth of data to a mistake, bug or attack.

That are separate cases out of 600k playerbase. You can't put everyone in the same drawer, as they say in my country. Can't label everyone a cheater only because a few did. I for one, find it insulting. I'm still at an Expert rank and I'm climbing up the ladder, slowly but steady, no cheats or exploits involved, thankyouverymuch.

What do you mean which rank? There is only one. The one that shows when you scan someone!

The only one that counts.

Combat of course. The only one from the original games and the only one that you can see when scanning a Commander. Also the only one I have Elite ranking in... :)

There is not one that is more prestigious than the other. They are personal goals and the one that means the most to you is the most prestigious

1. Exploring - Requires patience and a low need to interact with other people

2. Trading - Takes patience and extreme dedication

3. Combat - Requires you chasing every down every CZ in the galaxy and spending hours in CZ blowing up NPC's.

Of course there have been exploits for both the trading and combat (none for exploring that I know of) so which one is the purest? I would say the Exploring rank is. The hardest? I would have to say the Trading one is the hardest one. The most respected? I would have to say combat.

Those are just my opinions.

But as I mentioned earlier...all that matters is what one matters to you.

Exploring is the best ELITE , anyone can pew pew ,EVERYONE has traded......How many of YOU have gone outside the bubble 1kly at least;)

Just because something is more dangerous or prone to bugs, doesn't make it a more skill full act, I just stated a couple of fact's. :D

I'd say exploration first since it seems the most boring, requiring the most concentrated commitment, and the riskiest by far.

then trade, since it's also pretty boring, but still kind of risky, and time consuming

last combat, since it's the most engaging to do, since you get to fly around and shoot things, and also the least risky, since it's pretty hard to die against npcs, and you can do the whole thing in a cheap vulture.

which said, my highest rank is in combat, and lowest is in exploration.

I never claimed it was more skillful. I don't believe that any of the ranks are an indicator of skill, merely of dedication. As such, exploration requires the greatest dedication (imo etc etc).
