Ships The Python; damn near perfect except...

But the Python is the quintessential British ship, it has all the beauty of the 3.5Litre SDI shaped Rover of yesteryear.
....and bits fall off it just as regularly. ;-)

It's like saying Everyone in my family does it that way...
This also means that Ultimate Driving Machine is born on the left...

Because most cars are automatics now, the issue is a mute point. But when they weren't, getting the mostly right-handed world to use their left hand to shift gears was a terrible idea.
Additionally, if ever in an accident, the arm closest to the door has a MUCH GREATER CHANCE of being injured. As a right-handed fellow myself, I would much rather have that outside arm be my left.

Say what? Is this one of those "America is the world" statements? Anyway, on topic I love the Python cockpit with the the huge centre console, the wood, the cabling snaking behind you. Also love the eagle cockpit but, those Apple ships... :D

Saying you like the wood panelling, and seeing your avatar adds up nicely.

Hmm, this is a subject I guess really only VR headset people understand. Most of us only have a view in front of us in reality and therefore never really consider our surroundings, perhaps that's just me....I do now and then find and press the free look binding but without tracking systems its really impracticable on my Hotas setup.

I am a wood enthusiast and love the sleek retro 70's dash (does NEED a little lava lamp in the corner though)! Wish it had wood paneling on the bulkheads or at least a nice "If this crafts' a'rockin' Don't come a'knockin'!!" sticker.

Its the space equivalent of a main battle tank. When I want pretty, I fly my clipper; then I can smash things in carpeted comfort. But when I just want to smash things, there's a time and place for ugly and my python is who you gonna call.
