Should I keep looking for better trade route after 4100 per ton.

How many of you are on better trade runs than 4100 per ton. Have imps one way and gold the other. Is this the top of trade routes or is there a lot better. Would like to know as in 2 minds if should go looking for better. Would like to know you're best income per ton. Also let me know where to. ;)

That's a good route as long as it's stable, anything much higher and it would no doubt be pretty short lived. Also totally depends on how long it takes to run. CPT is important obviously but the only figure that matters is CPH.

I am not going to ask where it is...that would be rude...but I do have this question

Is it large pads on both ends of the route?

Is it 1 large pad and 1 small/medium pad?

Or is it

2 small/medium pads on both ends?

I am just curious and your input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

4100 avg for the two runs or 4100 when you add the profit/t for each run together?

Personally I look at profit/hr rather than profit/t - you can make massive profits if you are prepared to travel long distance but if you can do 2-3 round trips on a lower profit/t, you can often make more profit/hr.

The longest time is spent in SC and docking and undocking. I calculated that it's actually quicker to find a more profitable 4-hop route than a not so profitable 1 or 2 hop route. The extra hops only add a short time, whilst the shorter routes added more time in SC and docking.

Keep milking that trade run. You don't earn anything while looking for more.

If you want set yourself a target of checking the stats of just one extra station per game session.

That's a fantastic route. I have about 2200 one way and 600 or so on the way back (large pads, no smuggling) and I'm thrilled. I'd love to be getting over 4K!

4300 CR/ton profit is highest I've seen, so I'd say you have a good one there. (8.6M CR/hr in Type 9, just over 9M in Anaconda now)

Same here. Less cr/t with a shorter jump can be better than a huge profit 6 jumps route.

Current route is 5 hops, 4350 avg. Not a fan of the number of hops, but since fanangling my t7's heat output the route takes a total of 3 minutes (barring hiccups during hyperspace). So, it's not a big deal anymore. The time sink is in getting to the station (usually orbis ), and then readjusting to dock. Overall, I can do it ~4 times per hour which is around 3.75 million. I've tried other routes, but this one seems to be lasting and reliable.

On a side note, it would be nice (if someone knows how to do this, I would appreciate to know how) to know the orientation of the station as you are approaching it in sc. Many times I've been at the back end of an orbis where I would've smashed into its hind quarters if I were just a meter or two to the right.

That is a good route. Milk it while you can. :)

Hi deathmagnet. Both are large pads. And both are right next to jump in, under 100ls. So looks like a good one. Have gone to empire space as got very grindey but going to return. Was thinking there was better out there. I guess not. I've passed on the route to noobs I pass if I get chatting. Also there's quite a bit of piracy in area so think its pretty well known.

Station entrance always points towards the body that its orbiting. So from that you can make a fairly educated guess as to which orientation its in for Ocellus or Orbis type starports.

Afaik there is no rule imposed by the Devs that a station entrance will always point towards the body that it orbits or even though it seems to be more or less true in most cases, whether it holds true for all stations in game now.

However the docking port is always on the face that is rotating counter clockwise no matter which type of station you are approaching. Using this method you don't need to know anything else is.
