Your advice on raking the cash!

Morning all,

I've got a tip top Vulture and about 15mCr in the bank. What do I do to get an Anaconda?

I try and play about an hour a day when I can. Loving ED but interested in what everyone would do to achieve that goal.

Many thanks

Either grind Res sites fir the next X weeks or otherwise get a little more and buy and upgrade a T7 to get up to a T9 and then to a conda.

Other's mileage my vary.
It depends on what amount of grind you are willin to deal with.

While combat can be a lot more fun, the fastest way to earn credits is to find two systems with goods the other wants, and just grind out trading back and forth. In a Lakon Type 9, you'll make 15million an hour easily.

As you have a Vulture, I'd hit some RES sites.
I'd also recommend working on some EMpire faction to acquire the CLipper.

Great ship, and you can do some trading in it as well.

Then go for a Python.

You're still a long way from that Annie my friend. ;)

With a Vulture, bounty-hunt at RES and get BB missions to kill pirates, they pay well and you cash in the their bounties on top of it.

Use of kill-warrant scanner before firing is a must to increase the bounty reward.

My advice: don't focus too much or raking up cash too fast, or get too obsessed to getting the Anaconda... The game will turn into a boring grind and you will get bored of it fast while losing all the fun.

Oh and get ready to, after ditching the Vulture, to be horrified at how sluggish the big ships are.

Farm the RES until you have enough to buy a T-7. Then alternate between farming the RES in the Vulture and trading in the T-7. Then when you hav eenough, sell the T-7 and get a Python. Do more trading in the Python and continue RES farming in the Vulture. Keep going.

That's what I did and I now have two A-rated Anacondas, an A-rated Python, an A-rated FDL, a Vulture, an Asp and assorted small ships. Oh, and 600 million CR in the bank. One thing I haven't had for the last six months is a life. ;-)

I'd go for a Python as soon as possible and put a combat-trading loadout on it.
You can join most community goals and get additional payout for very little work and mix up your activities since Python is a good solid multi-role ship. It stops it being a grind and lets you enjoy the game whilst getting cash.

Personally I've flown 19/20 ships and I prefer the smaller ones. I spend a ton of time just messing around in an eagle :p. The Anaconda is only my ship when I want to go places quickly or get cash quickly. But is good to fly it a few times for the "oil tanker" feeling :D
If you want a combat-conda its gonna take years since a full loadout can come to over 600million credits, 700+mil with armour. To put that in perspective you can buy every other ship in the game fully equipped for about 800million.

So in summary my advice is enjoy the game because either way it will take time :)

You could abuse...partake in power play and make it to rank 5. That's what a lot of people do these days, or so I've heard.

Seems high, wanna share that route? :)

Nope. I never used any tools to find trade routes. I just went to a secluded little corner of space that was interesting to look at, and started trading.

The best trade routes aren't on display on those sites because they are not about cr/t but about close systems. You'll get much more money doing a 2000 cred/ton route between two systems one jump apart with station close to the sun than you will with a 3K one requiring 4 jumps.

Everything up to jump distances is filterable.

You missed his point. For a trade route to be mapped, someone has to upload his findings to the site/tool in the first place. But if they do that, the system gets flooded with people looking for a quick buck, and the market dries up almost instantly. The best and most richest players will play the game, find their own little corner of space, and never share the trade info with anyone. With only a couple people ever aware of the route, it never dries up.

The trade routes average at about 3.2k / t, and I made 100 mil this weekend alone. I think it's you who's missing the point.
