To all miners - how does this make you feel?

MiningDamnIt.jpg

This picture contains something horrible. Something that makes me wince every time I see it in my cockpit. It's making my current mining slightly nerve-wracking.

To experienced miners, what is the problem here? What horrible situation have I got myself into?

I'm not talking about the fact I've only got 64 cargo space, or I'm using an A2 refinery with only six bins. And no, it's not that I'm defiling the elegant beauty of a Python by using it for mining (bite me) :)

Ignore all those other stupidities. It's something else.

Once you see it... does it upset you? How does it make you feel? :)

On top of that, I haven't found painite in the last 20 roids.

Nah, it's the 93% painite, which will have to stay there until more painite fragments can be refined...

Yup, I let painite get in my first bin. The one which defaults to the 'Vent' button when you look at your cargo. So now, to fix it, I'm probably going to have to vent painite. That or just trust myself not to have any accidents. This is not the best situation ;-;

I suppose it's not called painite for nothing :)

Less than 7 bins is pure agony.

I wish they would restructure bin number to acknowledge that we have more minerals per roid now.

I personally haven't had much issue with accidentally venting anything - happened once, never again.

Although I also refuse to go mining with less than 7 bins, so that helps.

I haven't been able to try the new mining system with droids and limpets, just because I haven't been in civilization for months.

However, I have mined for the longest. If I was you, two options:

-Be very patient and careful when processing the hopper. In the "traditional" way I have no problems cause I can take my time doing it. I've heard that with robots, they go and come automatically and you have to be quick. Again, haven't used them so not sure but if so, you might be better off going old fashion, taking your time to carefully process ores.

-Get rid of the Silver (or the lesser value): simple...right now you only have 49% of a ton..that's like 2,600 cr -if you could sell it. Everything else is more valuable, specially the 93% of Painite -around 32,000 for what you have. You don't want to risk 32k to gain 5,3k at most, right? So you get rid of the less valuable and keep on mining more at ease and peace. When mining with 6 bins you manage to do that and then some: leaving "valuable" stuff behind is a common practice. It means you are just going for better.
