The only thing you have to understand is, that
- all so-called Powers are notional/fake and ASCII-only characters that don't exist
- all so-called Powers are essentially the same,
- using essentially the same methods
- to achieve the same goals
- which merely serve to affect certain bonuses or commodity rules
- even in Systems in which they clearly have no power or standing whatsoever (no Faction supporting nor representing them)

Pretty sure, that with this being a game, I understand that. This is not meant as a real world discussion, but a roleplay to add some fun to the forums.

To CMDR Mikalus:
So many nice words used to convince yourself that Delain is a freedom fighter and a noble person. Still captured in the mental prison of morals others teached you. Trying to find justifications to follow the strong leader, trying to make a point that sheepish servitude to the imaginary savior of humankind is a noble cause.
The only thing you prove is that you are a slave to exact the things you think you work against.
Following a leader is not freedom. Joining a gang is not a sign of power, it's weakness.

"There is no time for weakness. We rule through fear and will divide and conquer those that are resistant to our presence. They will pay the inevitable price in blood and have their families sold into slavery."

Freedom is an illusion, the lie the powerful tell the weak to make them follow like blind sheep to the butcher.

Don't be weak. Be honest to yourself. Take your fate in your own hands and don't care if others think what you are doing is evil, bad or against some made up morals.

+1 OP it's good to have some roleplaying and the Archon not being just a 1d villain. Every man is the hero of his own story.

Aye, I was fed up of the false propaganda against Archaine. The reality is that the galaxy is a mess and Archon brings some benefits to our smaller independent factions out there.

It's okay and you're right of course...
I requested the Admins/Mods to remove my Forum account days ago, so I should have stopped posting anyway.

Dont blame the mods or admin for your own lack of self control, log out, don't log back in
Exercise you will to not do something you say you don't want to do.
You have all the control over if you post or not.

*whoops and cheers, totally ignorant of what Eudaimonia is*

True happiness of the soul due to being aligned with the Good, or some such
Though it was argued a just man in harmony with the Good, being tortured on the rack, would be happier than the unjust man living the life of a luxurious king
So Archon Delain is creating a state (of existence) where people can find the Good and thus be happier than those confined by the false dogmas of the other powers due to their nature being not aligning with the Good

Precisely.

*Stops whooping and cheering to read post. Blinks a few times. Continues whooping and cheering*

Dear Commander, Zadian Litchtfrost,

While I appreciate your encouragement to be honest with myself. I feel that I am. I recognize the evil of Delaine, I also recognize the benefit of Delaine. I feel that those who are truly blind remain those who are ruled by a great power. Delaine may or may not last long, but as long as he protects the people of Mannovalo and other independents, I remain by his side. Figuratively speaking of course. You should join us.

Commander Mikalus <End Roleplay>

((ON another note - thanks for engaging :) ))

I hope that you appreciate the inherent contradiction in your, shall we say, creative interpretation of the pirate/"power" figure Delaine's thinking and his threatening to sell the families of those who resist him into slavery.
