Should Security Vessels have SIRENS! :)

We have all been in that position of having our bottoms chased down by the space Rozzers, but wouldn't it be nice to have that echoed space sound of sirens as your being pursued for example please click on the link and fast forward to 6mins 8 secs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHJkxEVENPI

Maybe the DEVS will have a look into this, and introduce this as a switchable toggle GUI feature for all of us, sound in the game is vitally important to us all and adding to the richer environment will make for a better game environment.

your thoughts should this be considered???

I really like this idea. It's already been established in game lore that your ship generates sounds from incoming EM to simulate the sound of events outside the ship. So the police could be broadcasting a repeating EM that could be interpreted as a siren. It's probably something that needs thought so the sound isn't very annoying, but frankly the sound in this game is already so stellar that Frontier's sound team could probably do it if anyone could.

I don't understand, do you NOT get thirty messages instructing you to clear the area and/or submit to scans?

No thanks, I live right next to a police station and less than a mile from the fire station and hospital, I get enough sirens.

If you think this idea is about imparting information to the player, then a volume-shaded sound effect of a siren is much more fun, much subtler and just plain better than your info bar getting crowded with text (though I do like their warnings). I think it's more about just making the game more enjoyable. I'd certainly enjoy hearing sirens when cops are around.

I do not know about sirens, but blue flashing lights when in combat or pursuit would be nice!

Heh I like this idea too.

There is another space game if you like cop lights and sirens sound (in space... yeah. right.): X:Rebirth.
I have played that one... and the "space cop cars" with sirens are about the most stupid and bothering "feature". Ever.
Please no. Just... no.

Isn't that the description of EVERY X:Rebirth feature? :D

If the "Space cop cars" have sirens we need this guy -

If you've played it you'll get it :)

I did think of the annoying factor so having a toggle on off feature like "orbit lines" & flight check which we all pretty much hate with a passion, i know i do would be a way forward ;)

We wouldn't be able to hear the sirens in space anyway... no air to trasmit sound, remember?

BUT, I would like it if the comms panel was more of a holographic system where you could hail people and see a head talking to you.

It'd be cool to see Mr. Policeman, wearing appropriate gear based on faction, informing you that you're in deep poo-poo.
