Evil cmdrs anonymous.

Hi everyone. My name is Guidebot and I'm an evil cmdr.

I was out in my Diamondback Scout in a HIRES when I saw a player Vulture on the scanner. Before I knew what I was doing I was tailing him and stealing his kills at the last second. Then he lost shields in a fight with a clipper, so I rammed his Vulture pretty hard. He charged supercruise and left... but I followed him. And interdicted him. Twice. And destroyed him.

I don't know why I do these things but from time to time I just murder people.

Does anyone else randomly perform inexplicable acts of evil?

You're just a bad bad man, this is the game. Power corrupts, so for some, if they think that they can; they will. Bad man, but all in the fun of the game. Going public may have not been your best idea today, though?

Diamondback Scout, you say? Perhaps we ought to meet up in some system to "discuss" this. I'll be in the A-rated Anaconda...

Nope!....... The game as it stands lets you do this with very little downsides. Just keep it in mind that if ever FD deliver on their promise to give lasting cosequences for (what I consider to be) attery you may find the game changes for you a lot.

FWIW I try to role play the game as much as i can with a view to what would I do IF it was real... with this in mind I do not even attack clean NPCs, and I do not trade in slaves unless I rescue them from space (lesser of 2 evils and all that). (I have no issue with imperial slaves however, I look at that as more fixed term contract employment ;) )

Also if ever you find open to be an empty wasteland and you are asking your self why it is so, and possibly complaining on here about it, just remember in ED no one is forced to play in the sandpit with you after you have taken a dump in it.

Seems like psychopath, you know...

Anyway, I love it when players try to kill steal or put their ship in my line of fire - I always ram them first, and then chase in SC to finish the job.
In what system do you do this from time to time?

I'd rep you if I could...pretty much my thoughts and couldn't have said it better.....
Between PP and this kind of behavior is it really any surprise so many Cmdr's are either A. vacating open play for groups or solo and/or B. gone out in the black on very long extended exploration trips when under different circumstances they may be doing something else?

My name is Jordan cobalt, yes THE Jordan Cobalt, and I pirate traders for a living. Those that refuse to cooperate, die.

I'm an evil cmdr, but I prefer the term puckish rogue.

Ok, before this turns into another open v solo.....
I have not flown the Scout or the Vulture, so am I wrong in thinking, someone in a Scout poking someone in a Vulture, takes a little bit of nerve? Yes or no?

Exactly what I was thinking about. Either the OP has one loose screw or the Vulture pilot just ran away too scared to look at the radar.

Conveniently, for Mr. evil over there, a NPC dealt with the Vultures shields before the brave mr. eviL rammed and chased the Vulture down. Maybe you should say: Hi everyone. 'My name is Guidebot and I'm an evil, backstabbing cmdr.' That might be more accurate.

There are a lot of newbie commanders in Vultures - very popular and relatively cheap ship.
Also, if Vulture has no shields and DBS is full multi-cannons with shields up (and SCB) - Vulture could be a toast very fast.

True.

Normally I'd say yes it would take some nerve, but he waited until the Vulture player had lost shields and a significant portion of his hull against a Clipper....so no....not so much.
