Assassination mission

Hi did these last year and haven't done it since. has it changed from

go to USS a few times a ship tells you he has seen the target in another system you fly there USS kill.

its just I have already done 10 USS and no luck

many thanks

yup, it's changed, now they don't move systems so just go to USS in the system until you find them. You can also find them in supercruise now so bring an Interdictor or just follow their wake.

Don't bother with USS, you won't find them there. You can do the quick scan of ships in SC to verify your target, then use an interdictor to pull them out of SC.

Yes, you will find them there. As I have done dozens of times.

yes you will,

Yep but they are no longer exclusively there. I prefer them in SC, makes it more real. I also like it when he tries to get on your tail as your trying to get on his. It's like a dog chasing it's own tail ;)

Oh and OP, they are a little harder now, improved AI and all that..

As others have posted, you will find them in USS..more likely, also, if you see comms chatter from your target..although the above method is the best!! also if you haven't done it for a while, hope you're good at killing pythons with a viper and vulture in tow

I agree, chasing them around the system and pulling them out of supercruise feels a lot more like assassination than randomly bumping into them in a USS.

I'm not, apparently! I tried a $250K assassination mission a couple of times - had to jump out to repair - and ended up abandoning the mission. Maybe I'm just not good at combat (although I've never had issues in a RES), but I just couldn't seem to kill one ship without the other wrecking my shields (Python + Vulture).

Assination indeed.

Talking about assasinations. My Counter in the Left UI stays at 0 but I have lots of Money earned. How does that fit?

Actually I find the USS's easier than SC, being all the bugs with SC and NPC's, what I've noticed is if you see them in SC there is more chance of them in a USS's, so grab a mission, pop into SC, slow your speed to 30km, check for a mission target spawn while looking for USS's, you will find that since your moving at 30km the USS's will spawn within drop out distance (300-400km), this means you can drop to low space instantly, if the target isn't in there just jump out to SC again and rinse repeat.

And don't forget to stack your missions!

To maximise your profits make sure that you take as many Kill Pirate missions as possible (spam and refresh that bulletin board!) combined with a handful of assassination missions. If you assassinate a Pirate Lord, it counts as a kill for the Kill Pirate missions, too. And if you take out the larger pirates in a High-Intensity RES (may need to "Hi-Res log" to get them) and use a KWS you get the bounties too!

Don't forget, folks, keep refreshing that BB! - aka "BB logging" - Log, log log!

:)
