Day one Kickstarter here and I have also bought the Xbox One version so not sure where I fall in your tantrum rant.
When you say "role on no mans sky" I think you mean "Roll on No Man's Sky" in five words four of them had minor bugs, fix your post!
No Man's Sky is going to dissapoint, even if it is good it will dissapoint, becasue as usual people have their own internal expectations.
Play the game you have in your hands, not the one that hasn't been released.
Your absolutely right
buellpilot, are there without doubt some things that are out of wack with the game as it currently stands, Indeed there is. Do many players hope that the game will continue to be tweaked, refined and have additional content be it paid or provided free, again I believe that many are .
However there is a once again a set of comments from some posters, that cannot understand the difference between a "A subjective opinion" and a "Fact" when making statements on the game, also again many of the negative comments seems to fall into the category of, its not the Game
"I" Wanted.
Some people expectations of not only this game but many other games pre release in the last few years have seemingly expanded way past the realities of "what a developers want to do" and "what they can do".
There is no game that has ever been designed, developed and made that can be safely called perfect and free of criticism, that does not mean that developers should hide behind known hardware and software limitations, there is a difference between a developers aspiration and there ability, and unless they give a absolute legally binding guarantee that X or Y will be included then everything should be considered an aspiration.
While I am aware of the DDF it is also my understanding that this was a design forum, that was based around aspirational elements not a place where any or all ideas would survive post hardware software and overview of DB, rightly or wrongly, he has to my mind made no secret in all the informantion avalible on the web and in other media since its inception, that he is bring a game to market that is predominately "
His Vision"
So in conclusion, we the end user should maintain a reasonable expectations that no game is going to be developed exactly how we want, if we have any issue with a game potentially developing along a path or in a direction that we dont want, dont fund or support it until it has been released...
While I am absolutely thankfully that some people, backed this games early development both in funds and moral support, I do sadly believe that some early backers invested to much emotionally, forgetting that the games industry is a business. Thus development is always going to be at the mercy and pull of many things that mean artistic ideas and direction will always have to take second place to the limitations of the Cost Vs Profit and Time Vs practicality.
Edited to add at the OP whinging about FD and the XBox One version
fix the damn game we all paid for .
were not interested in the xbox version, we paid for the pc
we all pledeged monies from kick starter and elite backers it still feels like were beta testing while your working on the xbox
they wern't there at the begining like all of us so why are we still waiting for a working game ?
7 months after release and still patching basic things its microsoft syndrome all over again
bang it out let them find all the bugs.
stop faffing and fix our game.
role on no mans sky, we may then get a game that plays, or one of the many other that are in the works.
