stop faffing about

fix the damn game we all paid for .
were not interested in the xbox version, we paid for the pc
we all pledeged monies from kick starter and elite backers it still feels like were beta testing while your working on the xbox
they wern't there at the begining like all of us so why are we still waiting for a working game ?
7 months after release and still patching basic things its microsoft syndrome all over again
bang it out let them find all the bugs.

stop faffing and fix our game.

role on no mans sky, we may then get a game that plays, or one of the many other that are in the works.

I backed to a fairly high level as soon as I could and I've played the game a serious amount of time, there's some things I'd like and some things that were always going to be later add-ons, but it's been fun to play and I've got my money's worth out of it. What specifics are broken for you?

well said " Abomination "have some rep it seems you understand what i am "ranating " about or complaining about as mis sold product as i see it.
to a certaain other poster .... oooohhhhh handbags time is it well i never expected that, ..correct your spelling and dont compain about the game..
looks like someone else is having a mini rant
i should expect nothing else from here.
were all aloud to have an opinion i have mine and thats all that counts to me

Yes were all allowed an opinion. But when your post comes over as me me me me me me me me me me, don't expect too much compassion from others. Complain to your hearts content otherwise.

No it isn't.
.
For one, you have the option to buy a passenger liner. Where are the passengers?

Will be added in a future update. The game was released in a very basic, but working, state. A lot of things have been added already, and more is on the way for sure.

And where are the other ships?

Same as above... every update has brought more ships.

And what about stuttering still happening occasionally.

Don't know about you, but for me 1.3 brought a HUGE improvement on game performance. Almost no problems with stuttering, even performance in busy SC instances was improved from "unplayable" to "constant 60 fps". They will probably improve it further, although I wouldn't mind if they didn't, since it runs very smooth now.

And wings not always working as it should.

Instancing is a problem, I agree. Not only in wings, but often players who are in the same area cannot see each other, because they were put into different instances. This should be fixed.

Your game is NOT working properly.

There's still a lot of room for improvements, right... but improvements have been made with every update, so they _are_ working on it.

Day one Kickstarter here and I have also bought the Xbox One version so not sure where I fall in your tantrum rant.

When you say "role on no mans sky" I think you mean "Roll on No Man's Sky" in five words four of them had minor bugs, fix your post!

No Man's Sky is going to dissapoint, even if it is good it will dissapoint, becasue as usual people have their own internal expectations.

Play the game you have in your hands, not the one that hasn't been released.

Your absolutely right buellpilot, are there without doubt some things that are out of wack with the game as it currently stands, Indeed there is. Do many players hope that the game will continue to be tweaked, refined and have additional content be it paid or provided free, again I believe that many are .

However there is a once again a set of comments from some posters, that cannot understand the difference between a "A subjective opinion" and a "Fact" when making statements on the game, also again many of the negative comments seems to fall into the category of, its not the Game "I" Wanted.

Some people expectations of not only this game but many other games pre release in the last few years have seemingly expanded way past the realities of "what a developers want to do" and "what they can do".

There is no game that has ever been designed, developed and made that can be safely called perfect and free of criticism, that does not mean that developers should hide behind known hardware and software limitations, there is a difference between a developers aspiration and there ability, and unless they give a absolute legally binding guarantee that X or Y will be included then everything should be considered an aspiration.

While I am aware of the DDF it is also my understanding that this was a design forum, that was based around aspirational elements not a place where any or all ideas would survive post hardware software and overview of DB, rightly or wrongly, he has to my mind made no secret in all the informantion avalible on the web and in other media since its inception, that he is bring a game to market that is predominately "His Vision"

So in conclusion, we the end user should maintain a reasonable expectations that no game is going to be developed exactly how we want, if we have any issue with a game potentially developing along a path or in a direction that we dont want, dont fund or support it until it has been released...

While I am absolutely thankfully that some people, backed this games early development both in funds and moral support, I do sadly believe that some early backers invested to much emotionally, forgetting that the games industry is a business. Thus development is always going to be at the mercy and pull of many things that mean artistic ideas and direction will always have to take second place to the limitations of the Cost Vs Profit and Time Vs practicality.

Edited to add at the OP whinging about FD and the XBox One version

PS4 next norrin. Not fanning the flames but cows must be milked. FD is a business after all, shareholders to take cream from profits ect ect. And for anyone who thinks money goes directly back into the game... ohh come on. Look up business on google, it will I suspect have a set budget any more income is just gravy.

You mean they won't use the money to pay their staff who will continue to support and develop the game, or use it to pay for the upkeep of servers, etc? I guess the staff must work for free or something...

I played the heck out of this game for a couple months, quit for a couple months, played again for about 5 hours. Now I think it is just going to gather virtual dust on my desktop. I haven't seen any new additions or any planned additions that pique my interest enough to bother even loading it up in the foreseeable future.

powerplay was pretty bad, same amount of effort could have done something better, i think this mystery in august will make or break the game.

I hope it makes it.

Well going on all the bug fixes in patches, you can see they are fixing things, and atm there arnt any game breaking bugs, so we just have to wait for the next patch to fix the small bugs, its all good, just takes time.

I find these somewhat funny, When making criticism i feel it is useful to say what is actually wrong or what you are criticizing. Just saying "Its broken" and not really following it up with anything useful is exactly the reason why tech support is terribly annoying at all sides.

Example being when a program crashes and the user just says "Its broken" whats broken? what are the symptoms, what happened, why do you think what happened is an issue.

Iv seen so many people call things bugs which are not bugs at all. Like "Wear and tare being so expensive is a bug" No its not, its behaving exactly how the devs expected, but it is expensive, which is not what the users want, yes its annoying but it isnt a bug.

Iv personally not had any problems id say make the game broken. The only annoyance is some behavour of the station side UI that causes me to loose my mouse control of the menus that a ED restart is the only way to fix. Iv not reported it because when it happens I dont remember the exact circumstances, like it seems to do with timing.

I see this thread, and i think of this

Is it a PC or a Mac?

Answer "Yes"

See how helpful that is? ;)

We can all go and play Skyrim... because, you know... that game never crashes to desktop every 20 minutes or so?

I think where the OP is confused is in that nothing was promised, it was a kickstarter campaign for a game that we now have, and i love. Many ideas were thrown about, some have already been implemented, some haven't yet, some may never. Patience I think will help with the rage you are feeling. Play something else a while and wait for the next announcement at gamescom. And please don't speculate that it will be a release for ps4 or something. You know, this game has a 10 year outlook already, we aren't even through the first year.

i dont want a " chill pill " i just want what i commited cash for and what was promised by the devs
if the stock answer was take a chill pill relax wait awhile nothing would ever have been done .

and you think 'demanding' it will get you there any faster??? seriously...

This game has a 10 year plan development plan no? So it's been less than a year, tons of stuff has been implimented. Obviously I can't speak for everyone but I've played 126 hours so far and have had 0 game breaking bugs. The only time the game has crashed was because sweetfx screwed up and the edtracker software crashed at one point which crashed the game. You need to be patient ad helpful. What is broken? If you don't point out specific problems then nothing will get done. If you have a ton of hours already and are bored with the game, then maybe take a break and wait for some new content. I don't really understand the complaints all that well though just in general. Even if I was done with this game after 126 hours I'd would say that I got my money's worth. How many 60 dollar games these days can you even get that much enjoyment out of? Not many. You are of course entitled to your opinion and I respect that but my opinion is that your post comes off as non constructive and unhelpful without noting any suggested improvements.

FD also have to ensure future revenue streams in order to continue developing the game and secure its long-term future. Porting to other platforms is one way of doing that.

This is the thing the concerns me the most regarding ED's future. Once the initial sales have trailed off for the new port then what...no more development revenue ?
