Just riffing off of Meet the Team
Shaun Gibson
Greetings everyone, so I'll get the ball rolling. Feel free to add your own!
Please follow this helpful advice from TJ:
What does an average day at work look like for you?
I'm a TEFL teacher these days. So right now I'm on reduced timetable and getting back to proper work in mid-October. But an average normal work day goes like this: Get up at 6am, head to work in the Microelectronics factory where I teach mid-level italian management English from 8.30-13.30 Then I head to my school (private language school I own a third of) where I teach teenagers and adults until around 8. I specialise in Cambridge exams so it's really rewarding.

What aspect of your life are you most proud of?
My son, obviously.
What's your favourite thing about Elite: Dangerous?
The galaxy. It was an awesome achievement and I love exploring.
Do you do anything for the community? If so what?
I try to stay active on the forums. I run the First Great Solo webpage that's currently on hiatus as I get involved in Power Play and I run the Aisling Duval facebook page. For my Space Khaleesi!
What have you learned from playing Elite: Dangerous?
That you can't please everyone. I no longer consider myself an astrophysicist but I was one once, so I 'get' space.
Federation, Empire, or Alliance? And why?
Empire, because Michael put my backer's station there. I had been going to go Alliance.
Tell the community a fun fact about yourself
I had to book the family computer (a Commodore 64) for Monday nights to play the original Elite.
If you could ask the community one question, what would it be?
Why can't we all get along?

Nice idea and it's good to have a meet the community page.
However, please consider carefully what personal information you post. it's better to be safe than sorry.
Looking forward to learning a bit more about our forum members.![]()
