Are you able to expand Ids Dhor or whatever system you propped?

We have our successful expansions from Cycle 7 as control systems now. They were only 45cc upkeep, while we are somehow in deficit 153cc.

It does appear to have Ida Dhor open for expansion.

My numbers are showing us 67cc in deficit, using the Income from the Stats page. Also, we're 153cc in deficit, but a single system of 28cc upkeep which cost us 146cc last cycle is the only one in Turmoil.

The numbers are wrong somewhere, because if we are 153cc in deficit, there should be at least one more system on that Turmoil list.

Did you see my most recent spreadsheet of control systems?

I'm sure what you're doing is more intense, but I hope you can use some of my information on the controlling factions. I also compared Anarchy, Corporate, Democracy, Patronage, and Dictatorship controlled systems with comparable upkeeps (to stand in for distance), and the only massive discrepancy I noticed was that Dictatorships are really tough to fortify. If that remains the case after your investigation, I'm not sure we need to prioritise Patronage over Corporate just yet.

As for retaining dictatorships, we have plenty in exploited systems. Our control systems don't contain any benefit for our followers, so I don't think we should concern our selves with the flipping. Yes, I am aware that some control systems were chosen because they had good outfitting or good trading, but, well, that was, frankly, really, really stupid. Keeping all of our systems fortified is more important now, and the best way is apparently to flip them all away from Dictatorships.

I hadn't seen the spreadsheet, been away from the game for a while now. It looks like a great resource I'll definitely use it.

The main thrust of my idea was based on thinking that the game tells us that Fortification is "stronger" in Patronage systems, so I thought what with Fortification being the upmost priority for ALD, cementing Patronages into government in Systems would assist efforts.

I'll make sure to prioritise Dictatorships from what you have found.

Looks like we're in Turmoil, due to a successful undermining of Damoorai. As are Mahon, Hudson and Li Yong-Rui for similar reasons.

It's not the entire Power base, just one system. Which, sadly, was one system I had wanted to keep. Why couldn't they hit He Xingo, dammit!

We do have some weird numbers, however.

Overhead is reading 4402cc, instead of the 4449cc estimated from the formula.

Upkeep is reading 600, instead of the 516cc I just calculated.

I won't even go into Income calculations, as those probably change week to week due to contested systems and overlapping exploited systems.

Yes, it was undermined.

Also news, if the Overhead calculation uses 57 control systems instead of 59, removing the 2 new ones from this week, we should have 4298cc as Overhead cost. Not to mention 45cc less in Upkeep, and maybe 120cc less in Income.

Of course, the Overhead calculation isn't working as advertised, so I don't know what's going on.

My question: How can i help resonable?
I've seen the spreadsheet, but i did not quite understand...

People just go fortifying Yao Tzu because it's under threat, even if it is a worthless system!

Why the hell didn't the surprise underminers go after one of the horrible systems!

Why is there no way to control this? Oh, right, we can 'control' preparation targets. Cause that's what that is. Control. Mad rushing to out prep a system that won't earn anyone any money. That's how we control it, probably diverting a few thousand tonnes from what could have been Damoorai.

FDev has our Overhead reading something that does not appear to follow the formula FDev published earlier this week, in a post where they also said that 'if new systems send you into Turmoil, you will not get to expand into those systems'. Well, if we were back at 57 systems into the Overhead formula FDev published, we probably would not be in Turmoil right now.

And I have absolutely no idea where their upkeep number is coming from. My calculations have it over 80cc off.

There needs to be a mechanism for supporters to help shed a bad system. I tried to get rid of Kamocam, and it would have worked, but thats when they changed your overhead and basically saved that system for you.

You definitely shouldnt be allowed to expand, I assume it will just keep you in turmoil if you get it.

Well Damoorai might have pushed you over this week, but how many more systems worth 75 over their upkeep are left for you to take?
Unless you can fortify everything (and although you guys are close, fortification fatigue is setting in for everyone) Hudson will ninja another system each week.

Last I checked, we were in Turmoil.

I believe the current numbers to be wrong, and am expecting a change. I am not demanding a change because I am whining and we're losing. I went through and added all the numbers over the past week. Unless we lost 102cc in newly Contested systems this Cycle, the numbers are simply wrong.

If they get the right numbers, and we are still in Turmoil, we are in Turmoil. We will survive. Damoorai was barely fortified last cycle, and wasn't even noticed this cycle until the last 4 hours. It really is only a matter of time until we do fall into Turmoil, but if their Overhead is calculated the way Sandro claimed, and the additional claim that "if new systems send you into turmoil, you will not get those new systems" holds, we most likely should not have fallen into Turmoil this week. It was definitely close, and we will probably be there next week.

By the way, the OP of the new thread is in the character of a Kamadhenu Gossip Rag.
