Community Event / Creation My first Alpha footage

This is a very nice video.

The Track IR set up used makes the game look very playable with this piece of kit, and it's obviously immersive as, even when not "looking around", your head seems to tilt to the side when banking. (don't fall off your chair will you :D)

I've seen a couple of other track IR setups that seem a little less in control of the hardware .. are you able to share your settings?

Thankyou glad you enjoyed it.

I Pretty much used the Smooth default profile with a few tweaks.
At the moment I have reconfigured the profile to lock out the x,y,z axis as I tend to loose my bearings and my targeting goes all over the place

Definitely a good idea to start with tight control .. and work outwards, rather than the other way around imho ..

This begs next question I guess .. does Track IR software make it possible to unlock those x, y, z settings, eg. from a flightstick control switch but while you're in the Elite Dangerous game environent. In peaceful momentscould you have a more extreme pan and zoom around, then (by switch) tighten the x,y,z when a target comes into view .... ?

Nothing like a challenge is there :p

Now that is a challange! The closest I've seen is the precision mode.
*Goes away and googles like crazy*

Im not sure the track IR software could hook into a game like that to have triggers and multiple profiles or editing profiles on the fly,

It is possibly something that FD could implement into the game to restrict or relax movement on the axis..

I find the forward back motions to be a pain at any rate and although lend themselves to nice footage.. often leave you unable to seem things.. :D

LOVE The video.. look forward to battling with you soon. :D

Excellent! ..

(should notify, I'm not in the Alpha, and it does seem that the Track IR support from FD allows at least a level of zooming in/ out)

However, we may be talking "bionic eyes" here .. ??

Sure to cause eventual pixilation, due to game engine resolution (fuzzying from interstellar radiation?) .. with very small head tilts a difficulty at that "microscope view". However, with points in between, it might allow Alliance/ Ship recognition at distance .. who knows.

Subscribed to follow this thread, will be fascinated to see what you come up with. I'm also looking closely (OK< longingly) at the Warthog stick ...

Best of luck Commander.
