Screen going red?

I was just in the ice belts of Anlave 10 in Anlave (derr), and suddenly i find a ship on my scanner, i boost to turn around and i hear a cracking noise combined with a low frequency scraping and creaking noise, and my screen starts to go red from the outside in, then immediately goes away when i stop boosting, and as the ship pops off my scanner. all thats left is a high enegy FDS wake...
anyone know what that was?

Dont worry i have just found it was a gforce thing, almost exceeding the gforce downwards will make the screen fade red lol but i was only going 440m/s

Speed has nothing to do with it, acceleration magnitude and vector does.
