Hours played?

I read something about hours played in the newsletter.
Is there anyway I can see my own hours played?
I know there's a site where you can drop your local log files to calc them but these log files are renewed after a new install.

I might be wrong here, but I think only if you play the game through Steam can you see duration played. This is through the Steam interface, nothing to do with Frontier.

That's a cool page... I need to check it. I wonder if it's still accurate if you've had to do a re-install...

No worries!
You need to save the logs. I've imported my logs from my old computer to my most recent one, no issues.

On this website, you can :)
http://ed-board.net/?m=stats

I, for example, have 573 hours of gameplay.

Only works if you have log files.

Shame FD has done very little, if anything regarding player statistics.

Used to be a statistic page in beta:

Mine is a little odd.

It says 670 hours with an average of 4.18 per day (since 9th February 2015). But on the max/day im on 26 hours which strikes me as an impossibility :p

Nice tool though, I've been looking for something to read my hours from the log file for a while now and compare with community data for average progression.

Steam does show hours played, problem is it counts the log-in launcher as gameplay. When I first started playing my hours were counting up scarily fast, I think 200 hours in two weeks. I realised that when quitting Elite I had left the launcher open and gone off and left my computer running. I know now though, Steam lists 483 hrs and on ED : Board it lists 337 hours.

Although I don't think that website is 100% accurate. it states my Max Hrs in one day as 16:22 but I know that I did the Buckyball run A* in one sitting which took me 18 hrs.
