Aisling Duval - Powerplay Turn 8

Where can I go as a pledge to enter combat zones for AD merits? I've collected a few randomly from interdictions but don't recall where I got them. I'd like to have a combat zone/system to use.

Thanks
In the google doc, under combat, there's a full list of targets. For combat zones, you can check out expansion systems for Archon, Antal, and Hudson

Server side update pushed us into CC deficit. Fortify target systems. See google doc for complete list of target systems.

Can I ask the Aisling supporters two questions?

1. Why Aisling?
2. Why you always run away from me in your HQ? D:

I said it before. For me, there were 2 reasons why I chose Aisling. The first reason was that she is with the Empire. I had flown the Clipper in beta and, considering the amount of credits I have, I wanted one in the released version. So, before they changed the rule, I had to be baron in the Empire to buy one. The second reason is when the 10 powers were introduced, she was one of the smallest power. I usually like to help the underdog, so that's why I picked her. I never considered the special rewards you can get although I'm glad to have the prismatic shield on my Clipper and Courier. They're smaller but deliver more strength than the higher class shield generators.

I usually don't run away from someone unless I'm completely outmatched. I guess we're on different time zones. I haven't been interdicted by a real player once so far in about 6 months of 3-4 hours a day play sessions.

I just read this post about an attack on Arissa Lavigny-Duval headquarter by a mercenary group called "The TRIADUS". Their contract with an unnamed entity was to kill every commander on sight.

Are we prepared if that ever happens in our own headquarter?

I gather that instancing problems make tackling them very difficult; the attackers tend to be in same instance with only room for a much smaller number of opposing defenders. As we found at 34 Pegasi, the gameplay for mass PvP is somewhat broken.

1. To free Imperial Slaves and to help impoverished imperial people, trying that they won't fall in slavery. This was important for my character in Beta, and the reason why I support her.
2. If I run away from you, without doubt is because my ship is trade fitted and I'm no match for a bigger ship combat fitted.

Not only that but with this poor peer-to-peer network, as soon as there is a significant number of players in a given system, it slows to a crawl. And your framerate too!

If someone hasn't till now..

It's time to switch to fortification mode!! see https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=170064

We have some older still not fortified systems with upkeep cost zero. How can this be? Is this a goodwill of the DEVs to put us out of turmoil (as seen in that picture on top of that thread I linked)?
~
From what I have seen we have to fortify everything to not end in turmoil in 2 days. Correct?

I've been looking at the PP board in game and no change in the standings. Just recently uninstalled and reinstalled so not a ghost from the old cache. Has there been any acknowledgement of a slip up by FD on letting the new calculation and the Galnet article into the wild?

Are we now in CC deficit as was reported earlier following the server patch? I saw a screenshot of the powers and we're still in #1 but there was a small square with a red background and what I believe to be an exclamation mark, to indicate that something is wrong. I'm at work and just can't access the game.

Well I'm seeing things as they were at the beginning of the turn along with the yellow cookie cutter so pretty sure if FD let an update out into the wild early they just hit reverse.

We were for a short time periode. See the link in my post before.
But then they changed it again. I believe (but I didn't calculate it) that we will be in turmoil when they applay their new formula in full and we haven't fortified close to everything.

Well I deleted the cache and restarted my computer several times this afternoon and I've never seen any modification in the powerplay window. From my point of view we are not in turmoil and we still have 130CC to spend this cycle.

I think we have to be very careful not to fall into turmoil next cycle as has happened to every power that did occupy the first spot. I'm not sure fortifying is going to help. The problem, if I understand correctly, starts when the cost of upkeep is greater than your credit capital. Of course, having systems undermined will make this worst but even if we didn't have any undermined systems, we still have the risk that we expanded too much and that the cost is to high for our credit capital.

Whatever happen, fortifying as much as we can we'll help. With actual powerplay mechanics fortifying is our only hope.

Oh, I agree. I didn't mean to sound like we shouldn't fortify. We should definitely fortify, specially the systems that are at our borders with other powers. I meant to say that I'm not sure it will be enough to not fall in turmoil.

Here's the view on my end

The computations on galnet seem a bit off (it doesn't seem to account for additional overheads brought in by the 6 new systems)

Are you saying you're seeing this right now? I just got in and I definitely don't see any turmoil, as was also reported earlier by another user. Someone said earlier that they wiped their cache clean just to make sure but they said the turmoil was gone after FD apparently touched up the data. I'm not too sure what to think.
