Powerplay. Good concept. Needs more focused conflict.

I was super excited when it first came out, did a month of movin and shakin and then after some time i got my hammers, quit and went back to Leesti because PP wasnt fun.

The fundamental concept is solid and it really has great PvP potential in creating some epic flashpoints but it hasnt yet realised it.

It needs to match events like Kappa Fornacis, Lugh, Persephone, Quivira et all.....

It has only PvE potential. It can be changed to PvP potential by deleting those stupid "federal/imperial logistic" and forcing to fortificate in open.

I want commanders-only warzone! Fights with capital ships!
Or just something replacing "grind zones"

Given that we had CG conflicts with 6000+ participants its safe to say that if a flashpoint was realised through PP and broadcast on Galnet as a financially rewarding CG (which i hope is the ultimate intention) it would draw players into Open just for the buzz.

The kind of changes we need for PP aren't going to happen because the game isn't designed to support them. Even Sandro admitted as much in a recent post when he said that due to game design they were limited in player comms options. When FD are saying things like "we consider solo a valid gameplay option in powerplay" then the choice is to either get on board or find another game.

I've taken to going solo when entering Nanomam to avoid the gank patrols. And why not? FD says it's a valid way to play the game...

I find myself having to ask these questions a lot. Why should PvP or Open be propped up, why can't it support itself? Even the pro-PvP guy thinks the gank squads are worthy of avoidance. What makes you think open has any more ownership to the BGS, or PP than the other modes? All three modes were created equal. Deal with it.

Powerplay is Pointless. It's just grinding for the grinds own sake. Perhaps if solo/group and open did not share the same galaxy, it could get interesting. But as it is now, there is no point - as you are just trying to outgrind ghosts which you never ever have the ability to see, much less stop.
