General / Off-Topic Why nobody celebrates the victory of Chris Froome ?

I am amazed, because no reaction here on this forum

:)

Personally? He's a machine, he's like Steve Davies Davis back in the old days. Phenomenal levels of undeniable skill, all the charisma of an A.I. It's not just the winning that matters but even an old cynic like me wants to be able to connect with them on some level. Compare him to Wiggo, he's a better cyclist than Wiggo...but he's 'Chris Froome' and nothing else; can't get behind someone I can't connect with.

For the record, I think the doping claims are a nonsense, the man's a monster.

As for Froome - cycling doesn't do it for me!

I couldn't care less about some guy's ability to pedal. Anything responsible for encouraging grown men in lycra on my roads needs to be shunned.

The man may be a monster.

Of course he (and the others in top 2000) doesn't take anything that the healthy diet of 1970's & 1980's Soviet/DDR/USA (the most blatant examples) athletes didn't contain... :p
