Asp is pretty hard to equip well for combat with 15 million. It may be a better idea to use a more affordable ship until you can scrounge up more cash.

Here is an Asp you can try. 15 million puts you in a budget Asp....which is fine..room to improve. I went with C modules on most modules. You can later upgrade them to A to improve its performance. Make sure when you sell your old ship you sell off all your components first and then your hull...so you don't take a 10% hit on the modules. It should give you a little more cushion. This build should do you ok. As I mentioned earlier...upgrade the modules as soon as you can afford to...never drop below rebuy x2 in reserve cash. Good luck CMDR!

Edit: my builds always require power management of the modules. If you are not familiar with that no better time to learn than the present.

Yes the chaff would be useful to....play around with the builds until you find something you like.

This takes massive power management
Set priorities to the numbers I have set them to. Turn off all SCB's accept the 5B's. Your KWS will need to be bound to a key so you can use it without deploying hardpoints. As soon as you deploy your hard points all priority 5 modules will turn off, including your FSD drive. If your fighting you are not jumping, scooping, interdicting, or any of the other things, so all power to fighting modules. When you have exhausted your 5b SCB you go to your module panel on the right and just simply turn "on" the first 3B set of SCB. Becasue the 5b's were set to 4 they will automatically turn off so your 3b's can be powered then just continue to turn on the next SCB as your current one runs out. By the time you get to your 2A rack it is get the hell out time and you stow your hardpoints and jump away...using the last set of SCB to keep your shields alive as you try to run. Takes practice but if you work at it you can really stretch your ships to their upper limits with power management like this.
