YES .... No. 1 (aka Zac) Make it so!
Can we have some more ways to bask in the splendour of our purchases? Such as including in top 5 bounty new items a render of the ship with the paint job applied, or in CQC ladder tables? Not to mention if a ship movements database became accessible...
Oh and is it possible to simulate other metals for these 'premium' skins besides Gold, Silver and Chrome? You'd think Copper, Bronze, Pewter, Stainless Steel, Blued Steel, Gunmetal, Rusty Iron, Galvanised, Zinc Plated and Nickel Plated would be doable. Not to mention Pink Chromed for that 80s BMX luxury look or purple/green ano for 90s mountain bikers.

I so want to see a rusty iron paint job ... and if you do it (pleasepleasepleaseplease do it) make every ship John Stabler has or ever will have, have a permanent rusty paintjob, so that no amount of T-cut will buff that outLove those ideas. Specifically like the Blued Steel.
Those sort of changes are a fairly sizable change and a lot of work to factor in though but I'll pass on the idea. They're really nice suggestions.
Do you guys just hate money? Why wouldn't you release both at the same time?
You guys really need to observe how Valve is making money hand over fist on their F2P games and step this sort of thing up. There's no reason why you guys can't have a team of 2 or 3 people working exclusively on new skin designs and colorways for existing ships. They represent some of the purest profit you can have and there are thousands of players like myself who would like to throw money at you but have no way to do so because (a) our ships have no skins or (b) we already own the 1 or 2 skins made available. Meanwhile, Valve's team of like 5 or 6 devs actively working on Dota 2 drop several skins every month and also enlist the community to create some for which Valve only has to approve of to add them to the game. The trade-off is that the community members who made the skin get a percentage of the profits. Win-win. The community gets new cosmetics to increase personalization, FDev gets more money for minimal effort, and designers who love the game get more incentive to play and create.
Make tools available to the community and hold some simple competitions. And put a couple of dedicated people on creating and approving new skins. Then watch your income grow.
What baffles me is why they don't have the community make paintjob skins for them ... yes they'd have to be approved, but the community wouldn't mind. Maybe it's not as simple as painting a design on a template in photoshop (or GIMP), but, heck I have dabbled in using Blender (not "a" blender), and I am sure there are lots of us in the community who use whatever program that would do half or most of the work creating paintjobs for ships.Amen and +1 Rep to that. This has been repeated in various threads and it just dumbfounds the mind as to why they wouldn't do something like this. Unless there is a serious developer involvement needed, I can't see why they (FDEV) don't do it.
We're hoping to do more of these type of polls in the future, just as a way of having some fun and letting the community show their support for specific content so other ships and colours may well be coming.
Right now this poll has had just under 3,000 votes and is 48%/52% one way or another (not telling who's in the lead)...
Winner will be announced soon.

InMemorium, I agree with these points, but ...I'll say the same about the topic of paintjobs that I will always say until Frontier Developments finally does something sensible and heeds my requests:
1. Make every single paintjob (yes, even those that only come in packages) available for every single ship that is currently in the game.
2. Make paintjob packages just a tiny bit cheaper than buying each and every skin in them one by one. Some people only buy the tactical pack for the tactical ice, some don't want to pay full price for the vibrant pack when they fly a Diamondback Explorer which is already bright yellow.
3. Don't introduce a new ship into the game without simultaneously making all paintjobs available to it - including maybe one or two exclusive paintjobs per ship.
4. Make ship exteriors even more customizable with a wide range of layered decals available for purchase.
5. Yes, that includes the Anaconda. ESPECIALLY the Anaconda. No excuses.
Just do it!
Why on earth should they be very expensive? Because of their material? Come on...!I guess these skins will both be very expensive?

Ah a Sidewinder with a Blued Steel/Colour Case harded spaceframe offset with bronze & cooper hardpoints, fixtures , edges & decal![]()
I have a suggestion Zac for the next one if you like, how about a Black & White mottled skin for the T9 (or even the rest of the T series too)? The Space Cow really needs it.
