T9 Combat Build - Seriously

After I play with the newbies in Eravate a bit, I'm thinking of trading up to a T9, about 100M worth, and fit it for combat like the ones in Eranin during beta.

What are some good setups? Please exclude SCBs from the kit.

Go with the 8A shield generator and mirrored bulkheads. Then some reinforcements. Why no SCBs? With that set-up you ought to be able to kill your opponents by just running over them like little bugs.

You cant have a battle cow w/out SCB's. It's shields are not strong enough...and it is a very expensive build

It would have to be something like this..

Without the SCB's and only have 550 shield strength you a sitting duck.. SCB's a must..even still...they are fun to look at...not really practical.

This pretty much although for what its worth C thrusters should be good enough, the difference from D to C is noticeable mainly cause it puts you RIGHT above optimal mass (you might need to go B/A due to upgrading hull though...) but regardless you are a sitting duck for just about any ship.

Even if you don't want to go up the ass with SCBs at least one lol
something like this I suppose http://coriolis.io/outfit/type_9_he...00-04044p5s------24.Iw18eQ==.CwBhrSpAmBGalhA=

Again due to your low manueverability you are going to be liable to chaff since you practically need turrets (unless you're good with FA Off, can't say I've tried since I suck FAO) you got 1 utility slot open for more chaff or hell a heat sink (while the idea of a stealth cow amuses me I don't think thats viable at all) but not a 3rd booster unless you lose the SCB which power wise isn't worth it.

I can't afford 8A. I can't even afford the stock T9 yet.

100M budget, please. Armed mining outfits accepted too :)

Best jump drive not necessary.

I'm not going to PvP or fight huge opponents, only fighters and the like, NPC only.

I'm not much for guns blazing PvP unless there's promise of cargo at the end.

I'm not very into railguns. :(

only PvE? my old build for The White Inaba aught to be good enough. I do plan to buy her back so I kept the loadout :p http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=70Y,7...,2-9iBQ9Y8S9s6u9s,0DI7WK0AA08c07207205U05U03w

Its about 113m from what the shipyard says but obviously just remove the cargo racks and downgrade the FSD and it should be within range your 100m range

edit: you could probably upgrade the shield from a D to B if you drop the FSD from A to D or something

take this build to Ray Gateway in Diaguandri for a 15% discount on ships and modules. You may just be able to pull it off in your budget!

I'm sure he knows that its probably more for the comedic effect (edit: or a challenge I suppose)

as for my experience with the Inaba far as NPCs go, I could take out anything except pythons, condas, clippers and fdls. 1v1 I never tried fighting a wing of npcs unless they were all small fry and at least one of them was shieldless. I'd need SCBs on the Inaba if I was even serious about considering fighting wings I suppose lol

I did struggle with dropships, diamondbacks and at times ASPs anything smaller was a chewtoy.

Go hull and durability and use the shield for buffer for a PVE build.

Military Grade (While Mirrored is damn good the moment you face a ship with heavy ballistics you will hurt)
B class modules
8B Shield generator
7B SCB
6B SCB
Hull Mods for the rest

X2 point defenses
X1 Chaff
X1 Shield Booster

Turrets, as many as you can fit.

NPC Vultures can be complete muppets.

But which one? Animal? Gonzo? Miss Piggy?

Dont tell me - Pigs In Space.

Or is that only for law enforcement?

You need to remember to fit a KWS. My T9 has turreted beams in each medium hardpoint, a cannon and a seeker missile launcher in the small ones (to get the wounded before they can jump out). I didn't fit a KWS at first but after creaming a couple of NPC pirates in empty systems I decided to fit one, it has paid for itself many times over as often a pirate will interdict me as I transit through an empty system. I only have a 6A shield gen and just the one SCB but it was enough to keep me alive long enough to jump away from bigger pirates (clipper and dropship). I don't know if it would be enough to get away from a python or conda though, I just have to remember that my 10% discount build is also 10% cheaper on in-sewer-ants but the credit whack of loosing 464 imps gives me the heeby-jeebies.

Psst... check this out...
Rank 7 hatch breaker controller??? 12 limpets active at a time, fired continuously for 24 seconds at the rate of 1 every 2 seconds?
May I kindly ask you what are you using this for?

I did give a serious test to the hatch breakers and confirm that:
- Only one breaker can attach to your target at a time. If the other ones try to attach while one is already attached, they explode.
- The above applies even if you use several hatch breaker controllers.
- The same amount of cargo is dropped whether you use a class 1 or class 7 controller.

I'd personally go for a class 3 breaker (max active limpets = 3, hack time only 5 seconds slower) but equip a higher class collector (or even multiple collector controllers to vacuum floating cargo).

Anyway, more seriously, why would you use a T9 for piracy? There is no pirate paint job available for T9's! ;)

Most builds I saw here yet use pulses, why ? The T9 can handle and power a full beam loadout and a prismatic shield: http://coriolis.io/outfit/type_9_he...t0q0q00000303p7--------.Iw18eQ==.IwBhrSoraA==
The capacitor is actually juicy enough to allow a good firing duration. With a regular A8 shield you can even run two A shield boosters at the expense of other utility: http://coriolis.io/outfit/type_9_he...t0q0q000004044p--------.Iw18eQ==.IwBhrSoraA==

the capacitor IS nice but regardless it still drains fast especially wth your suggestion of 5 beams. I would imagine at best you get a 3sec burst if you got all 5 beams firing.
