What would YOU do in these situations?

I will write a couple of scenarios and I would like you to answer your way of acting/solving the problem. :)

Scenario 1:

You are in Supercruise and you get interdicted by an enemy (PowerPlay) NPC in your friendly territory.
What would you do?

a) Try to avoid the interdiction
a.1) if failed, fight
a.2)if failed, escape
b) submit and escape
c) submit and fight

Scenario 2: You get interdicted by an enemy player (PowerPlay) who is wanted as well.
What would you do now?

a) Try to avoid the interdiction
a.1) if failed, fight
a.2)if failed, escape
b) submit and escape
c) submit and fight

Scenario 3: You are about to interdict an enemy (PowerPlay) player in enemy territory.
What do you want to do with him?

a) shoot him
b) request to defect to a power or to leave his current power
c) say a friendly hello and boost out again
d) something else? (please post below)

Scenario 4: You are in the middle of a fight when suddenly a wild Python appears with deployed hardpoints. Your ship is much weaker than the Python.
How would you proceed?

a) fight
b) run (you are just as fast as the Python)
c) ask him what he wants
d) something else? (please post below)

Scanrio 5: You want to either request enemy PowerPlay players to defect to your power or you are about to steal cargo from a player. In the situation you request the player to shut down his engines but he doesn't respond and keeps flying at normal speed (no boosting). Note: Your ship is way stronger.
Choose one:

a) try to tell him again to shut down engines
a.1) he doesn't respond - shoot
a.2) he doesn't respond - fly away.
b) he doesn't respond - shoot immediately
c) he doesn't respond - destroy his engines or FSD (so he is trapped)
c.1) he still doesn't respond - kill him
c.2) he still doesn't respond - let him float in space and jump out (he may reboot and jumps out as well)

Select a second answer from below:

d) he replies but refuses your request - shoot
e) he replies but refuses your request - let him go

And a thrid one:

f) he accepts your request - still shoot him
g) he accepts your request - let him go

Scenario 6: You see a player interdicting another player (both neutral to PowerPlay). You decide to jump in and follow their wake(s).
A clean Fer-De-Lance attacks a wanted Vulture. Note: Your ship is much weaker than the FDL but equal to the Vulture.
Would you ...

a) shoot the Vulture
b) shoot the Fer-de-Lance
c) just jump out again

Same Scenario 6.1: The Fer-de-Lance is wanted and attacks a clean Vulture (they are hostile in PowerPlay but your are neutral to both, you are not pledged to a faction/power). Note: Your ship is much weaker than the FDL but equal to the Vulture.
Now, would you ...

a) shoot the Vulture
b) shoot the FDL
c) just jump out again

I'd be happy to see some commanders replying. All these situations happened to me atleast once lately.

Hmmm .. oh c'mon, Ima tell my answers first! :D

1. a.2)
2. c)
3. a) + b) (depends on my mood)
4. a)
5. a.1) + d) + g)
6. c)
6.1. b)

Fly safe! :)

Scenario 1: Submit and perforate them with my frag cannons.
Scenario 2: Submit and perforate them with my frag cannons.
Scenario 3: Tell them that I am about to perforate them with my frag cannons, then perforate them with my frag cannons.
Scenario 4: Drop chaff, then perforate them with my frag cannons.
Scenario 5: Take a screenshot, then perforate them with my frag cannons.
Scenario 6: Perforate the vulture, then the FDL with frag cannons - because the moment they loaded up open they resigned themselves to become my content.

All scenarios are easy - there is no such thing as a fair fight so if the other ship looks bigger and better than me I'm off by any means possible if he is weaker he dies
.
The only time this does not apply is if its a smaller ship and Im on the third call from the wife that teas ready in which case the answer above doesn't apply

1) I don't Powerplay
2) I don't Powerplay
3) I don't Powerplay
4) but I am more maneuverable!? If so, stick to his six and open fire until boom
5) I don't Powerplay
6) I don't Openplay

Hmmm, I'm afraid my answers aren't very informative ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Scenario 1 & 2
a.1) run if I'm outclassed.
c) submit and fight if I think I can take 'em.

Scenario 3
a) shoot to kill!

Scenario 4
b) assume the worst and run.

Scenario 5
c) take out the engines.
d) shoot on refusal of request.
e) Let them go if they comply.

Scenario 6
c) jump out again. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Same again for 6.1

Thanks, that was fun! :)

I think I can summarise my answers:

I fight if there's a benefit to me AND I'm reasonably confident of winning.
I move on if the above are not fulfilled.

Regarding scenario 5. If no response I'd damage but not cripple his ship and give him a last chance. No sense in destroying the drive or FSD and leaving them with no option but self destruct.

^ What he said - I don't powerplay :)

OP, I'd be curious to see the evaluation and your conclusions.

Scenario 1:
when trading: b
when prepped for combat: c

Scenario 2:
when trading: b
when prepped for combat: c

Scenario 3: d = c.1 + a
I feel kind of attached to the Hague Conventions... hail first, sink later.

Scenario 4: d
Evade her direct line of fire, ask what she wants, then probably accept an honorable death if I cannot outrun her

Scenario 5:
n/a

Scenario 6:
c

Scenario 6.1: now this is tricky...
b

1a)
2c)
3a-d),
difficult, if he is much weaker than i am, i wouldn't bother interdicting, only to harras him/her but no cheap kills. Stronger and/or equal, than fight if it's not me having a much weaker ship/setup but then i wouldn't bother interdicting at all. The optimal case would be (roleplay) chatter, which could even result in a peacful farewell.
4a-c)
, sorry, not very specific but so much depending on the fight i am in. I may ask what the Python wants but either way, the response could always be a lie. If my ship isn't in shape to survive a forst volley of the Python, probably flee.
5
well, ask nicely 3 times, if refusal or no answer, shoot. Ask again, if nothing is coming i'll shoot him severlely down to a few %. Note: bad pirat because i just can't kill people in much weaker ships. And thus, won't inflict much fear in the universe.
6
depends on bounty but probably more c) as in 6.1
Not my battle

ohh, Ohh, - I love multi-guesses exams....

Scenario 1:
A -> A.2 -> A.1 in that order.

Scenario 2:
a unless a very large bounty (say 200K) on a sidewinder then c

Scenario 3:
d or c - never going to happen, same merits as NPC more risk.

Scenario 4:
c and b

Scenario 5:
c-> c.2 I would also tell him how to reboot, a few do not know how to do that. However given my shooting it would probably look more like a -> a.1

choose d if he responds negatively - but not to kill!.

g

Scenario 6
a - but I would scan both. Need to deny the FDL its merits - I am not a fan of PP until rework in dev answers #3.

Scenario 6.1

b - and then run away with the Vulture assuming I am faster than it! You only have to run faster than your nearest "friend".

Scenario 1:
b) submit and escape
c) submit and fight

Really depends on my mood, the ship I fly and the size of the NPC - if it's a big one I usually run because taking him down isn't worth the reward - if he's small and I'm annoyed, I shoot him.

Scenario 2: b) submit and escape. Usually when they interdict me they're either in a bigger ship and fully combat fitted which I rarely am or they're in a wing.

Scenario 3: d) something else? (please post below) - I never did that - there's no point in it as it doesn't pay anything as long as he doesn't have a bounty.

Scenario 4: d) something else? (please post below). I'll lock another system and see what he does - if he starts shooting at me I'll just high-wake.

Scenario 5: N/A I've never tried it - stealing from a player is way too tedious to be wortwhile and whilst I unpledged, asking a Player to defect to your own power is just ridiculuous - noone would do that and if he did, I wouldn't want that person in "my" Power.

Scenario 6/6.1:
a) shoot the Vulture
c) just jump out again

Depends on my mood - I have a strong dislike for Vultures as it attracts a certain type of player and imho it's overpowered compared to the FDL in relation to the price, so if anything, I'd most likely observe who's winning - if the Vulture does whilst being wanted, I'd shoot the Vulture - in any other scenario, I'd just leave.

In all situations i would (depending on ship) fight or run.
Anaconda = run, way too much credits to risk and i would cry.
Vulture = mostly fight, good chance of winning and not too expensive to lose.
Sidewinder = fight, anyone and anything, anytime, no, not brave at all. throw away ship, who cares about a few peanut creds.

1 - Submit and blast the ####er! I hate the interdiction mini-game anyway.
2 - Same as scenario 1
3 - Don't really care enough to interdict ships for powerplay
4 - Stick to the Pythons backside, and pound him to death will laughing in a maniac fashion while seeing him desperatly trying to turn to shoot me back
5 - Same as scenario 3
6 - Attack the Vulture with the warrant
6.1 - Attack the FDL with the warrant. I actually fear the FDL a lot less than the Vulture

My Admiral advises:

Kill them all, unless it is a lion - with a popular name - in which case you will be wanted in all systems, and receive death-threats.

But, assuming the target is not furry - fire away, and blow those human b*stards to bits - no-one cares, due to them not being hirsute.
