That would depend on whether you were defending or attacking. I think that those three attacking would find this a lot more difficult than they did in single player. No more pinging away at it from range for instance.

Ah, a much needed fix of ED news.

Is it my imagination or does the star field look very different from the alpha vids. Sky box generated from the galaxy map? Oh . . . I've just realised while typing this that I dreamt of alien constellations last night:)

just finished watching the video. looks even more amazing than I had hoped for. having been an avid Elite fan since 1991 when we were given a BBC micro (complete with dual floppy bay and a boxed copy of elite plus book and ship ID); and having thoroughly player FE2 and FFE on the PC, I would like to take this chance to sincerely thank Mr Braben and the team at FD for making my long held wishes come true.

this so far appears to be everything of ever hoped for and what I spent all my time searching for in X2 and EVE.

folks might moan and complain about Newtonian flight models or how multiplayer will be dealt with or why planetary landing isn't in the first release; I'm just happy to see so much time and effort being put into this without an annoying money grabbing publisher getting in the way like what happened with ffe.

keep doing what you're doing FD. we will wait!

i wanna try to keep your attention on 1:21 of the video: isn't it that the sidewinder is going forward more faster than usual ? could it be the famous supercruise velocity ?

or may be i drank too much coffee this morning ?(lol)

It looks like both players are flying at each other with full throttle and engine power maxed out, just to see if they can hit each other at that rate of speed.
