trying testing it in the Sirius system is another thing we shoud, we know that one miss jump occurred there, Sirius is funding exploration for a reason. I presume UA should be come easier to find over the next few days so let just start throwing everything at the wall, something got to stick.

There's an Antares system. Some1 check it, please! Time's limited, we gotta do all we can!
From what I read Antares was a permit-bound system 2 months ago. Might be a good spot to visit with a UA? Also has a giant star.
I visited Antares a week or two back to check up on this lead.Couldn't find any links to the antares incident.only link is ships name not the system.
I found nothing interesting there,and not a permit locked system btw.. Or it isn't permit locked now at least

FWIW I'm with Wishblend and others, the use of the word "unlock" is quite suspect. Permit systems or regions get "unlocked". So my guess is something will happen Wednesday as part of the big announcement and a new area will be accessible to carry on this story. I would be very surprised if it is an entire region (as that would imply a whole bunch of new content) as opposed to one system (say Polaris, or Witch's Reach or LFT 509) which will lead to the next clue in the UA puzzle. Don't get your hopes up for a full-blown alien incursion or the like, I suspect it will be rather less dramatic than that. Could be wrong.
Edit: Missions can get unlocked too.
Edit: Of course the Emperor getting assassinated could be considered dramatic.

Since we're dumping wild ideas here, following on from the compass idea (ignore if already tried):
Many UA recordings I've seen face the UA itself (or view via drone), so it made me wonder: does the UA sound change in some way while within "earshot" when:
- You point the nose of your ship in different directions?
- When targeting other systems within jump range?
The purr patterns haven't yet been observed to repeat consistently, but perhaps there's a direction/target that your ship can find for which they either become consistent or change in some audible way?

That part might be a hint... We should try to listen to it while its in cargo hold (the sounds are particularly quiet while the canopy is breached (maybe while life support is turned off?). Maybe we need to point it into a certain direction to make it do a sound?

DADA FCE into the comms to the UA is worth a shot, its what i read as the notes given off in the whale noises................... (please correct me if i'm wrong)

Can someone resume me the last 3 days or so? Left for a while and now there are people talking about new hints, Kerrash talking more (of course!) and some people saying something about limited time

And while waiting for the destruction, try to get to the Regor sector.
Could you turn off loads of your modules to decrease the sound of your ship to maybe hear the UA in your cargo rack? Or has it been tried. I only ask as I saw a video before of someone turning off most modules in order to hear a black hole better and it worked. Dunno if the UA gives off a sound inside the ship though.
Does running any of the morse that's not they nearest astronomical body (e.g. the VID8 etc stuff) through ROT 13 decryption yield anything that seems particularly meaningful? Maybe a system where there's something to be discovered?
It seems the format of the most recent 'clue' posted here is the real clue, the information that the UA (or something) will be unlocked regardless of our success (presumed meaning) isn't much of a clue in itself.
