The news of free floating UAs in black hole systems is highly significant. At one point yesterday I was thinking about the best way to deliver an Unknown Artefact to Sagittarius A* using a relay of wings (many, many wings) given what we know about their effects on ship systems. However, if one can spawn in Sagittarius A* - or even in another black hole system in the inner Core region - then it will be something very significant indeed.

I remember a long while back that some unexplored systems far beyond the civilised bubble (often tens of thousands of LYs away) had errant signal sources - including one spotted in the Sagittarius A* system itself - that turned out to be a targeting bug in the game. Maybe they weren't that insignificant after all?

I can't speak for the others here, but the best advice I can suggest for you right now is to hang on out there. Maybe see if there are any other black holes or B class electric-blue stars nearby that might have similar signal sources? Also, be careful.

Thanks Cmdr I will. Last night shift tonight then off for a couple of days then it will be B class hunting time. :)

The ouroboros has many connotations/links - even (possibly) to an ancient Egyptian game, apparently.

Ancient Egypt, pyramids, orion, ouroboros, time, dark wheel (opposite of the sun wheel?) The great death...

20,000 Posts and nowhere nearer now than at the beginning, the finest minds in the galaxy and still nothing. Methinks its one gigantic red herring.

I'm surprised no one has pursued the "Tuba Binary" route further. Seems like the most obvious thing when you look at the waveform.

As a reminder, this is the code (that repeats in every recording I've heard) :

Binary, Decimal, Ascii

Code:
[SIZE=2][FONT=arial]100100     36    $
100100 36 $
1001011 75 K
1100110 102 f
1010010 82 R
1010110 86 V
0011001 25 (No character)
0110011 51 3
0110110 54 6[/FONT][/SIZE]

Lots of "36" which is a strong hint to Base 36, used to encode text and coordinates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Base36#Uses_in_practice

In Base36 the code is: 10 10 23 2U 2A 2E P 1F 1I

At first I thought "KfRV36" looked like a Geohash coordinate, but they're only 2D. I'm pretty convinced this is the right direction, but I have no idea where to go next. Any ideas?
